For eight years they have been getting my dads insurance mixed up with someone else's and they continually take my money and raise my rates because of the other client they have. They called again yesterday saying my dads account is past due. I paid it and called my dad wondering why it's past due. My dads policy wasn't past due and his account was paid in full. He called the office to get it fixed and when the woman that took my money in the first place called me back while I was at work, she wanted me to call my credit card company so I could fix her mistake and when I told her this is inconvenient for me, she replied to me that it might "cost her money" to refund me. They then said my refund would appear today, which it didn't. If you want to pay for other people's insurance and get higher rates, then call Paul Sullivan's office and talk to his staff. UPDATE--- It's now Wednesday, 5 days from when they said it would be refunded, and I still have NOT received my refund. Rosanne, the woman who originally took this payment, said my refund would be in my account by Tuesday and even left me a voicemail saying it should be in my account. When I called back Angie said the refund didn't even go through until yesterday and when I asked why I'm getting two different answers from her and Roseanne, she had no answer and I got way to much attitude from someone that owes me money. My family has been with Paul Sullivan for 30+ years with multiple policies and I can't believe they would treat long time customers and generations that use them like this. I got ZERO attitude from Rosanne- she recognized the mistake and did everything she could to fix it. Angie was no help. read more

I called Angie and Paul at 4:30PM on a Friday to get a new auto insurance policy because to my surprise, my new car was going to be delivered next Saturday morning. They were both very knowledgeable and helped me put together a comprehensive policy that protected my new car from virtually every sort of accident or loss situation. The pricing was very fair, and the service level I received, very high. Paul even helped me find some additional savings by bundling a renter's insurance policy that cost 1/3rd of my existing policy. It's interesting to see the reviews of this company either at a five-star or a one star. I spoke to Paul about a policy for myself and he ended up being about five to $600 more a month. He was not very friendly and offered quotes which at first glance were great, but then upon closer examination, there was a lot of things different than what I currently have. Similar to the old bait and switch that a lot of sales people do hoping someone will not notice I spoke to them again recently about getting a declaration page for an elderly family member who I am handling all of their business matters. His office could not give me the information and kept referring me to the 800 number for information since they did not want to pull the policy up or be helpful I ended up contacting other companies and shopped around for a policy that would be more reasonably priced with better customer service. I ended up finding another company and sent in the letter to cancel the service here. Not one word from the office to try to save the long time customer I would definitely stay away from this place if you're in the market for a policy. Customer service is not very good, their pricing is also a lot higher than other companies. read more

well, I'm sure Paul himself may be nice but I just finished helping a friend with her Allstate issue and I feel it warrants a review. Quite frankly I was appalled at the tone of their emails and also the complete ineptness of the allstate lady who was causing the issue. My friend had them for 20 years. She regularly pays her insurance when she gets her last month's paycheck (i.e. she pays on January 20th for her February 1 invoice). Mid-March she received a notice that her account is delinquent and that it would be canceled if no check was received for the March 1 bill. She went to the bank and her check on February 23rd was cashed. After calling the lady who sent her the notice to inform her of the error she was completely flabbergasted at the response: The Allstate lady claimed that the Feb 23rd payment was for the Feb 1 bill (basically 23 days late). Then she proceeded to "school" my friend on how payments & bills work and emailed a list of 1 year of my friend's paymens. She also told my friend that she should just pay it instead of creating some big issue over nothing. It showed my friend's payments were regular except for February, when she paid her February 1 bill 1 day late (on February 2nd) and then paid her March 1 bill at the usual time (Feb 23rd). Yet the lady held to the idea that for 20 years my friend had been paying her bills 20-25 days late. That is ridiculous! No notice was ever sent out until this month, and it was sent within 1 week of her supposed late payment. Why would allstate allow her to pay almost a month late (and 32 days late for the February 1 bill) for 20 years without any cancelation notice and then this month decide to badger her (phone calls, emails & letters) this time she was "supposedly" late? That does not make sense. To all of the sudden apply a payment one month back (so double-paying the prior month) instead of for the current bill takes either a lack of brain power or a company that is trying to stay afloat by over-charging purposefully. Either way, I would not recommend them. Later on the lady said that Paul would "graciously" re-instate her coverage (the coverage she had already paid for) if she paid the balance due since she was a long time customer. It is possible Paul was never apprised of the situation and it was just this secretary lady who is the issue. My friend walked in to State Farm, got a new policy for less and with more coverage in under a half hour! She is so happy. Here is a basic list of when the payments were made and what bill they were applied to according to my friend and then according to Allstate as of this month: (going back only 4 months but it continues years back just like this) 10/21 payment for 11/1 bill 11/24 payment for 12/1 bill 12/23 payment for 1/1 bill 2/2 payment for 2/1 bill (1 day late) 2/23 payment for 3/1 bill According to the allstate lady: 10/21 for 10/1 bill (21 days late) 11/24 payment for 11/1 bill (24 days late) 12/23 payment for 12/1 bill (23 days late) 2/2 payment for 1/1 bill (32 days late) 2/23 payment for 2/1 bill (23 days late and a cancelation notice after day 10 of being late) They had no basis for applying them back one month. I have to believe that it was simply the lady's inability to understand why a person would pay their bill on time instead of a consistent 3 weeks late. There ARE those people out there who do pay things late on a consistent basis but usually an insurance company will tell them every time, not wait 20 years and then let them get 32 days behind and STILL provide coverage with not even a warning that they are late. read more

My son was recently involved in an accident and Paul Sullivan and Allstate came through, even though the accident occurred in Nashville. They arranged for him to have a car and, when the body shop caused an engine issue, they covered the problem and again delivered another rental car to his school. On other occasions, Paul Sullivan has personally overseen the claims process for us. They're the best! read more

STAY AWAY!! This place is so incredibly incompetent, I'm amazed they are still in business! Pretty much everything that could go wrong did; I cancelled my policy there before it took effect and now, two months later, I am still dealing with their ridiculousness. Be very, very careful if you choose to go with this company. They may charge your card without your authorization, they may accidentally email your personal information to someone else, or they may just screw up all attempts at communication. Be aware, also, that the corporate office isn't any better. I was forced to call corporate when I couldn't get resolution with the local office, and corporate was just as incompetent! I seriously don't understand how a business can be run this poorly and keep their doors open. I am SO GLAD that I cancelled this policy, I can't even imagine depending on these guys to help me out after a car accident, I'm pretty sure I would get screwed regardless of who was at fault! Do yourself a favor and KEEP LOOKING!! Their low cost is not worth the incompetence!! read more
