He quietly steps on our porch (mailman was here right before him and heard his footsteps). First he rings the bell for a short stent (I thought maybe tv) and then quietly knocks on the door. I go to the front door and ask him what he needs, he literally SMIRKS back. I go sit down, thinking he's drunk and got my house mixed up with my college-aged neighbors. Wait about 5 minutes, who's still on my front porch? Jeremy! This time, I ask him to leave. another smirk. Then he looks into another window on my front porch. Really? Husband is in the shower, so I have to yell for him and his male name to get out and come down. At this point, it's very loud and Jeremy realizes a MAN is coming down. So then, after 20 minutes of harassing me on my property, Jeremy decides to leave. He litters and throws his business card on the porch. So I call him and tell him to NEVER come to my property again. An OSU student was just kidnapped/raped and killed in my neighborhood a month ago. Jeremy might want to find some more professional tactics for his "real estate" business. I went to the website for his business " ListRE" and found it was connected via a link on their website to Ascend Realty. I contacted Ascend Realty about the concerning behavior and they don't know who Jeremy is! And said they aren't connected to ListRE I did contact Columbus Police as well. That's right, this was the 14th place I checked out. I lived here 3 years, until I left Columbus. I move a lot (previously for school, now for work) and have lived in many, many different places: VA, NC, Boston, NYC, San Francisco, Austin. And this was my favorite apartment ever, primarily because of the owner/landlord. Just like a bad landlord or typical management company can almost ruin your life, a great one makes all the difference. These are older units with not-so-thick walls, but loud noise is discouraged, so it's actually really quiet. In 3 years, I never really heard any neighbor noise, just our immediate neighbor going up and down his stairs. In 3 years I had a minor leak, the AC go out, and an issue with the hot water heater. Each time, I emailed Tom (the landlord/owner) that night and by the time I got home from work the next day, all was fixed! I believe these are the best deal in Columbus for apartments, if you can catch a vacancy. There are only 70 units and - like I did - people tend to stay in them awhile. Each 2-bedroom townhouse gets 2 parking spots and visitor spots are nearby pros: great landlord/management, price, location, quiet, good amenities/appliances cons: no dogs, older (but well-kept) units
