Dr. Chen is amazing! I got in an accident a few months ago and my lawyer referred me to Dr. Chen since he is right down the street from my work. I go every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Dr. Chen isn't at his Encino office on Mondays, but his assistant, Goalie, is extremely nice and always makes sure I'm well taken care of before I leave. OK, This is the amazing part, Dr. Chen comes in (within seconds) and assesses the all the ridiculous things you've done to your corpse and will adjust you... I know for some people this can seem really intimidating and stressful, but trust me, trust me, Just SURRENDER... Totally go limp because if not, your tense muscles will keep your misaligned joints in place. BAM!! POPCORN EXPLOSIONS!! You'll hear all your joints exclaim in refreshment ,but more importantly there's a wave of immediate weightless relief. Somehow you'll walk out of here feeling 7 feet taller and brand new. I personally got smashed into by a drunk driver which made me hit the car way in front of me, so I definitely needed it this round, but other times you won't even realize how much you REALLY needed an adjustment until you see how skippidydoodaa you feel afterwards. -I've heard that one of the many cool things that Dr. Chen also does is adjust pregnant women! It makes the delivery super fast (within minutes, but I don't think he can promise painless labor) and the pregnancy much more bearable. Dr. Chen has always taken his time to listen to my concerns, taken his time with the treatment, and has helped me more times than I can count - I've always had chronic pain from horrible tension headaches from posture and misalignment. I would see Dr. Chen after finals I had to take in college/grad school. I also saw Dr. Chen post-partum, when I had pain from being hunched over breast feeding and loose ligaments from pregnancy. i was referred to dr Chen by a friend who received treatment for her car accident injuries. i didn't really want to go see " another" chiropractor because i have been to many in the past and no one was really able to help me. BUT he is not like any chiropractor i have seen!!! He took his time to listen to me, gave a thorough examination, read my MRI films ( i didn't know they do that, past drs just look at reports) and pointed out problems that was not addressed in the report ( so i was like ok.....not quit convinced yet). He then checked my back to show me where he was referred to and he was able to find my area of pain without me telling him he just went straight to it! he showed me areas that i didnt know that was painful and related to what i was suffering from. His ways of treatment is what impressed me the most because he incorporated many techniques that helped get rid of scar tissues that was affecting the stability of my spine. He always checked the whole body for misalignment and balance instead of just area of complaint. He customizes his treatments depending on your condition which is very different then my past chiropractic experience like going through an assembly line. i highly recommend him to all my friends and family even for one friend who had a horrible experience with another dr and dr Chen was able to make her feel very comfortable and do got her better in just a few visits for a chronic pinch nerve in her neck! if you are looking for a chiropractor you should give him a try you wont be disappointed!
