I know I might sound redundant if you've actually taken the time to read some of my service type business reviews. Trust me when I say that Yelp will not lead you astray if you're trying to decide if a business, or in my case a person, is someone you should do business with. For your real estate needs, whether it's buying or selling, Paul Caparas and Pacific Sotheby's International Realty should be your first destination.
My family and I had been living in our apartment for five years and ever since we moved back to San Diego in 2010, we had prayed about owning a home in the greatest city in the entire world. With our annual lease fast approaching, my wife and I decided that we would see if there were any homes available in the 4S/Rancho Bernardo/Poway/North County area. Knowing how pricey the areas we were limiting our search to, we just left it in God's hands and the trustworthy word of mouth search engine, also known as Yelp. I knew I needed the assistance of a real estate agent, so I inputted "real estate agents" and our zip code, which instantly brought up Paul Caparas. Read his 5-star reviews, which are legit and espouse positive views about consumers' experiences with Paul, and thought Yelp hasn't let me down before, so I left him a message on his phone. Paul called me back immediately and I decided to work with him without considering anyone else.
When I informed Paul about what we were looking for, which was 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a garage, Paul told me straight up that in the area we wanted to live in, the price of these type of homes would be more than what we qualify for. When he first told me this, I initially thought that I had made a wrong choice in going with him because I thought he wasn't even trying. One of the main reasons I'm glad we stuck with Paul is because of his transparency. He has nothing to hide and I really appreciated him being straight up with us. Paul is honest, trustworthy, and really does make you feel like you're priority. Paul assisted us throughout the entire home buying process, kept us informed throughout, and followed up with us whenever we had any questions. I love his collaborative way of doing business, where we worked together to find the home that we truly liked. If my wife and I found something on Trulia or one of the other home search websites, we would let Paul know about it and he would check if it was available. When he showed us homes, he was so accomodating by ensuring that we could see the home during a day and time that fit our schedule. Through his diligence and desire to find the home that fit our needs, Paul accomplished our dream of owning a home in San Diego within the timeframe and constraints we had set. Although the house we purchased wasn't exactly what we wanted, Paul found a home that was move in ready, had a lot of good upgrades, had a garage, a great view, and most importantly, was in the area that we so desired.
I've had the opportunity to purchase two homes prior to this home, but my previous experiences were more stressful than this purchase in San Diego. Paul and his all encompassing team of mortgage brokers, inspectors, and support staff were the reasons this purchase was seamless and less stressful. Here's validation of why you should consider Paul to be your real estate agent: when we eventually sell this home and decide to purchase again in the Chula Vista area, Paul is who we're going with to sell and to help us find our second home in San Diego. Paul, we are blessed that God led us to you and we wanted to thank you for allowing us to be homeowners again. read more
