I lucked out finding Paul to represent me. Due to my wife abandoning the marriage, I was two days out of a behavioral health facility, getting threatened by my wife to find a lawyer "or else". I've since forgotten what the "or else" was because there were too many to count over time. I had appointments with other lawyers at the time AND I paid consulting fees, but I did not connect with them on any level. Paul is a fantastic lawyer. I hired Paul for my custody case. He was very friendly and accommodating from the start. I found him to be very knowledgeable in the area of family law which is one of his specialties. Firm, strong, with a good sense of boundaries, Paul was a good negotiator and at the same time and he knows when to compromise. He was excellent in the courtroom and knew how to get his point across, even when the judge didn't seem interested in hearing it. As we proceeding to trial, me and my family were extremely impressed with the way he prepared me and his ability to stand trial. I would't want to be on the opposing side. Paul is a winner!!! He won numerous arguments for me including a complicated case of NYS Jurisdiction. That victory was later featured in a prominent law journal. He has good judgment and knows when to employ the assistance of other experts in related fields. He was very fair and accurate with billing, even throwing in free time on occasion. He is absolutely ethical and honest, and encourages the same from his clients. I think this aspect is hard to find among lawyers. He was always upfront with me about what I can realistically expect. His office and files were organised and had several staff/assistants helping with the office work. I never had to worry about reaching him on the phone. As busy as he was/is, his staff would take my calls when he wasn't available and he personally returned my calls promptly. Last but not least, Paul has a personal touch. From the start of our relationship, he made sure to call me in the evenings and on weekends, or after a court decision, checking in to see how things were progressing with me and my daughter. And he did not bill me for those calls. It came from his heart and genuine concern for his client. It was that personal touch that made a huge difference for me. I had an excellent experience working with Paul. This was the first time I had ever worked with a lawyer that was honest, responsible, reliable, friendly, courteous, professional, and detail oriented. I was experiencing some "financial difficulties" and I was in need of legal council. Paul was constantly willing to meet with and help me. During the two months leading up to the hearing we met around 15 times and spoke on the phone almost every other day. I was shocked. This never happens with lawyers. Moreover, Paul possesses a character not common in lawyers. His prices are reasonable and low because his aim is not to make as much money as possible off of you. In fact, at some point, he saved me $400 by being honest with me even though he could have taken full advantage of the situation.
