I'm an experienced general counsel who explored retaining this firm for an estate matter. At first it was responsive and seemed credible. But, after failing to reply to my subsequent emails, the firm tried a bait and switch by asking me to use one of their "junior" lawyers instead of the partner I interviewed and intended to hire. I contracted Grimaldi & Yeung to create an estate trust. After working with them to create a first draft, it was sent to me---however it wasn't my Trust draft. It was someone else's. When I finally received my draft there were a dozen misspellings and grammatical errors. I told them, but after we worked on the second draft not only were there another new dozen misspellings and grammatical errors, but there were also pages of additions I never asked for and several of those things I did ask for were not included. With such sloppiness and rogue work I had to let them go. I asked if they could give me a portion of my retainer back since the work they did was not complete and was not what I asked for. On behalf of my father engaged the services of Judith Grimaldi and her team for advice to create several documents for the care of and protection of dad's medical rights, proxies, last will and a myriad of supporting requirements. Before the documents were completed dad had a major incident which hospitalized him and which kept him home from being able to travel to her office. In my opinion, some attorneys in this firm are a lot better than others. I had two matters handled by two different G&Y attorneys. Be careful of Ms. Grimaldi, the senior partner, because she doesn't seem to know as much as she says she knows. She did used the wrong form for my benefits application and wasn't truthful about what she had done. Then she took my money when she wasn't supposed to. An attorney is expected to have a lot more integrity than that. The administrative staff is pleasant, but shockingly inept. I have a new attorney now. My experience with G&Y attorneys was very uneven. I thought one was really good, but one was infuriating and more than disappointing. read more

On the advice of financial consultants we have been working with for years we asked GRIMALDI and YEUNG to assist on the setting up of a Trust Fund in New York for our disabled son. This involved getting access to funds that had previously been administered by a state court. This involved considerable complications as while we are US citizens we are located in London and our son could not travel to the US to make court appearances. GRIMALIDI and YENUG did an exceptional job both representing us and keeping us informed at every stage of the process. We had as much access as we needed both to the excellent junior staff and also to one of the principals of the firm Judith Grimaldi. The firm set up a Skpe interview with a court appointed assessor so he could to determine to the judge's satisfaction that our son was not able to represent himself and made many other interventions with the court to facilitate and expedite the process. It terminated in a result that was completely to our satisfaction. Besides achieving the desired result the firm gave lots of helpful advice to ensure the trust was set up in a way that will facilitate its use to our son's maximal advantage.
