I only received 2 phone calls from them in a yr. Wasn't till I contacted BBB, then I got phone calls, and text. Please read whats on the BBB site before you choose them. Numerous complaints against this firm. I asked for a refund Numerous times. Almost begging them. Of the 5 000 dollar retainer, they kept 1,400 dollars for work they claimed they did. BEWARE.

I spoke with the attorney, Brian, for less than five minutes during the first week of representation and never heard from him again. Closing was initially expected within 20 days; however, the initial paperwork was not sent until well after that timeframe, despite it needing to be sent on April 2nd. Had it not been for the efforts of my real estate agent, the delay could have jeopardized the entire deal. Their paralegal, Kiddie, clearly had no idea what she was doing. Throughout the process, I was never provided with a closing checklist or proper guidance regarding required items such as fire inspections, water meter readings, and other critical closing obligations. I ultimately had to handle nearly all of the legwork myself that I could know attain a real estate law degree. At one point, I was even sent contracts related to an account that was not mine. I requested a single phone call on multiple occasions and never received any direct communication from anyone other than the paralegal. Additionally, the closing documents I received just one day before closing contained numerous errors, including incorrect information regarding both the property's municipality and my current residence. Because I was never informed about the water meter reading requirement, I was forced to scramble less than two hours before closing to obtain the necessary documentation. To make matters worse, the mortgage payoff request number presented at closing did not match the payoff information provided directly to me by the mortgage company the previous day. One disaster after another. Do yourself a favor, pay an extra $400 and get a law firm that are present and competent.

I was really lucky to hire The Goodman Law Firm to represent me in the Short Sale of my home…read more Before I hired them, I had already parted ways with two other firms. The previous law firms were run and operated by very nice people, but they were not very well organized. It's no exaggeration to say that mine, was the short sale from hell. In total in took six years to complete the short sale. I had pretty complete resigned myself to thinking that this thing was never going to get completed because there were three banks involved. They did not want to play nice with each other, we lost several buyers because of this. I had squatters move into the house three times because it was vacant for so long. The police were utterly useless. The one and only positive shining beacon of hope that I had was the people that were representing me. Peter Goodman, was indeed The Rock. This guy is an excellent attorney and really nice person. His staff, led by Tara Zipprich, took as it their personal mission to lead me out of hell. They were undaunted by obstacles. They were like having Delta Force and Seal Team Six in my corner. It's been about six weeks since short sale closed. It's still very hard to believe to this thing is not hanging over my head. It's gonna take some time to get used that that idea, but I'm glad that it is. I wholeheartedly recommend the Goodman Law Firm to anyone who is looking for excellent representation. If you are reading this and you need an excellent Real Estate Attorney, a Personal Injury Attorney or an expert Estate Planning Law then call them right now. 718-934-8811

Peter did everything he could to make me comfortable and fully educated on the process. He took as much time as I needed to review every decision and was always available when I needed him. From the very first consultation with Marina Shepelskaya, we felt that we were in good hands. She explained the process clearly and gave us confidence moving forward. We also had the pleasure of working closely with Colleen Vitali and Diyora. Diyora's attention to detail and the care she put into helping us prepare documents and understand important legal points made a huge difference for us. Everyone in the office was always professional, responsive, and kind. The reception staff were also very friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. We truly appreciate the dedication and hard work of this team and would highly recommend their office to anyone looking for knowledgeable and supportive immigration attorneys. Thank you from our entire family -- Snezhana, Grigory, and our children. We are truly grateful.

Review of Law Offices of Marina Shepelsky, P.C…read more We reached out to Marina Shepelsky for legal assistance and paid for a consultation. Our main concern was clarifying the status of U4U and TPS, since my fiancé had to travel to Europe due to health issues. In the USCIS system, U4U was still shown as active, and we needed clear advice on whether TPS was still valid and if any action was required. To make the consultation effective, her office asked us to send all our questions in advance, which we did -- we prepared a detailed document describing our situation and listing every question. On the day of the consultation, Marina arrived 15 minutes late. We understood this and didn't mind. However, what surprised us was that she had not reviewed our document at all. She was unfamiliar with our case and gave very superficial answers, showing little interest in understanding the details of our situation. It felt like she just wanted to finish quickly. The advice she gave turned out to be inaccurate and harmful. For example: She advised us to file late registration for TPS. Following her advice, we contacted a specialist who informed us that such a filing was not only unnecessary but could actually cancel the existing TPS status. When we went back to Marina with this, she admitted that was indeed the case. She also told us that if my fiancé were on an H1B visa, his spouse could work. Later, during a consultation with another attorney, we learned that this was incorrect -- the spouse of an H1B holder cannot work without independent work authorization. Because of these mistakes, we wasted time, money, and experienced unnecessary stress. Based on our experience, we strongly do not recommend working with Marina Shepelsky. The consultation was not worth the money, and instead of clarity, we received misleading advice that could have harmed our immigration situation.
