What began as the overwhelming loss of two parents in 2024, suddenly became a clearer path forward when Rita quickly answered my request for help. It happens and cannot be avoided each and every time. Smith has always been up front with us and keeps us up to date with our orders. They are the most reliable concrete company in the area and have the best customer service. I'm a contractor and have tried every other concrete producer in this area and Smith is simply the best. They will tell you they are going to deliver between 10-11 and then don't show up. My husband called to see where they were at 11:30. "Don" told him they were on their way. At 12:30, no concrete. With me sitting right beside him, my husband again called asking where the concrete was. "Don" daid it had just gotten loaded and would be on its way. 1:30, still no concrete. I called them at 1:30 and asked "Don" where the concrete was. I identified myself and told him my husband had talked to him earlier. He STRAIGHT UP LIED and said he hadn't talked to my husband at all today!!!! Then he proceeded to tell yet another LIE (LIE #4) and said it was just loaded and was somewhere between Poca and Milton. Then he told another LIE & said he had no way of knowing exactly where it was at because he had no way of getting in touch with the driver. So, we waited.... At 3:30, still no concrete, I had to send my workers home WITH FULL PAY because there is no way they could have the concrete poured and worked before dark. My husband called and cancelled the order and "Don" tried to tell him he couldn't cancel the order. My husband told him in no uncertain terms he WAS canceling the order. Then "Don" said, "You can't cancel the order because the driver is gone with your load and I have no way of getting in touch with him. LIE! My husband just told him that's fine when the driver got here, he will would just turn him around and send him right back to the plant. So, guess what? It's now 5PM and the truck never did show up! So you had no way of getting in touch with your driver Don? So why didn't he ever show up at my house? LIES ARE NOT TOO GOOD FOR BUSINESS DON. One day soon you will no longer have any customers to lie to because you've already lied to them all and they've taken their business elsewhere.

Some never showed up others were not wanting to put in my Fireplaces. Mike is FANTASTIC! He came to give me an estimate and said he could go ahead and clean the fireplaces that day if I wanted, he did an excellent job. He came back a couple weeks later with a broken foot mind you and put in my New Electric Fireplaces which look spectacular! Took very good care of my home put drapes down to protect everything.
