They were quoted 22,000 for a new system. I just happened to call while this was happening and they were in the process of filling out a credit application. I called my brother who lives close by to go and see what was happening. He sent them on their way after paying the 250.00 of course. He called another company ( D & W also in Covington) who simply added freon and it works perfectly. Be warned they will take advantage of older people if given the chance !!! not to mention the service manager and owner will not even return a call.

Soon after we purchased we began having issues with the system freezing up, not cooling properly, and not able to get the house cooler than 78* even though the unit was supposedly larger than required for the square footage. I called Mullinax mechanical at the recommendation of a neighbor and they came out and were able to fix numerous issues including replacing my some incorrectly installed parts and changing the air handler fan settings to actually blow air. The house can now easily reach 70 degrees inside when its 90+ outside. mullinax mechanical were quick to respond to my calls and come out to investigate the issue. They were very reasonably priced compared to other HVAC companies we have used. After this experience I have referred many friends and family and they have also been very pleased. I would highly recommend Mullinax Mechanical.

While he's apologetic it's definitely an act. This guy and this company could care less that they arrived to the initial appointment without a COI (do your research before accepting the job from the home warranty co) he didn't care that they ARRIVED the second time within minutes of a storm so there goes any chance of getting on the roof, lastly he didn't care that AFTER he assured me the technician was coming back today - HE WAS A NO SHOW!!!!!!! Run, please find a more professional, company with integrity.

I called Lee to ask if they could possibly source a part if I had the S/N and give me an estimate of delivery - a general time frame. They said, "They don't operate off another company's diagnosis". This is the dumbest policy I have ever heard of. All she had to do was tell me if they had the part or could get it. If the answer to those was yes, I would schedule a call for them to do their diagnosis which apparently, according to them, is rocket-science. They lost out on a customer. If they read this, don't send me anymore flyers. You had your shot. You failed!

His estimate was half of the other guys. He closed the valves on my AC unit so we wouldn't leak any more refrigerant so he would have to refill as much. The other company quoted 12 pounds and Eric only ended up adding 4 pounds. Eric completed the replacement, and testing if the new evaporator coil, cleaned up after himself all in about 3 hours. Needless to say, Dependable is now our Service Provider. Their annual service includes 2 inspections with cleaning and filter replacement. Highly recommend this family owned business.
