At Matawan train station, I got a taxi ride with Glen the driver. He was helpful, pleasant and very informed. He not only brought me door to door, I got the grand tour of what was around me as we traveled through the area. He's proud of the company he works for and feels it's the best. Compared to the OTHER Lrge known one set up on a phone used in my travels , whose GPS couldn't take us directly to the bagel store with the giant red sign above it that said Bagels, or pick up on the correct side as we ran after the car who's driver then saw us and turned around to get us , I tend to agree with Glen! Patsy's taxi service is the best by far! My car broke down last night on my way home and was recommended to use Patsy's. The dispatcher Dave was pleasant, patient, and more than accommodating when no other drivers were available. He finished his shift and came out to give me and my mom a ride, who's in a wheelchair over an hour away. He was helpful with her and an overall joy to talk to. What could improve???? Let's start with the question about no concern about picking up at the airport promptly. The dispatcher only send out the drivers until you call that your plane has landed. The results are disastrous. Last night instead of sending the driver out before we landed he didn't anticipate the rain impacting the time it would take to get to EWR resulting in waiting 45 minutes for the driver. This was the third time this past 6 weeks that happened.Its what they do. Why?? I gave them my return information... track the flight like any normal service does. The cars are incredibly bad and some of the drivers really are past their expiration date &/I am an old guy!,They frequently get lost and don't know where they are going. GPS is merely something they've heard of. Cheap yes take them to the airport if you must but AVOID them if you value your time and safety. Needless to say I am done with this disaster of a car service, you are warned. read more

Used them quite a few times for rides to the airport. Drivers were all decent but the vans were less than decent. The dispatcher is a miserable human being. When you have a question or something takes a few minutes longer he will actually call you and yell at you. Real tough guy hiding behind the phone. Avoid this company. read more

Called the night before and made reservation for pickup at Aberdeen-Matawan train station the next morning. I also called from the train en route when the train was getting close to the station so as to be able to tell the dispatcher the exact actual arrival time, to which he had confirmed that the timing was "perfect." So I fully expected to see the taxi when the train arrived. It wasn't there. I waited five minutes and called again and was told that taxi would arrive in 3-4 minutes. Overall I waited 10 minutes for taxi to arrive. I would have done better to make no reservation and take one of the taxis that meets the trains when they come in. The driver got lost several times driving to a local destination--Keyport--even while using GPS. She couldn't make the air conditioning work, commenting that the controls were unfamiliar to her. Or maybe the air conditioning was just broken altogether. I don't know. The only bright spot of the trip was that the driver was very pleasant throughout and did apologize for all of the above. But it was an annoying experience overall and I will certainly never use Patsy's again. read more

Normally I would give 5 stars...but today, no way. I told the driver the name of the veterinarian I needed to go to and the address as I was going to to pick up my late cats ashes. I told him 3 times 55D Hwy 34 ... On my invoice from the vets it states Matawan, apparently it's Marlboro. The driver had no idea where it was, but I told him the address again. He tried getting his GPS out WHILE Driving, entering the address without the D in it, and it came up with something else. He didn't make the left at the light as I told him, but made a right and we were 7 miles away from where we should have been. Even told me I was wasting his time and gas!!! The first driver I had knew exactly where I needed to go, but not this guy and blamed me!!!! I apologized (don't know why), but he sighed, and then started speeding up, I should have had him drop me off somewhere else and I would have walked. Not professional, irritated and blaming me. On top of that,the dispatcher comes on complaining about customers not requesting wait and return...I told the driver 5 mins would be all I need to pick up my DEAD cats ashes!!! NOT happy. read more

We used Patsy's to travel to and from Newark airport. We had the same driver Angela both times. She was very courteous, friendly, and helpful in putting our suitcases into the trunk. She arrived a little early when picking us up to go to the airport. And she arrived at the time she said she would when picking us up from the airport. We have been using Patsy's for this purpose over the past 10 years and never had an issue. We make sure to arrange the rides a few days early. read more

I've used Patsy's 2 times, both to get a ride home from the airport. The first time was a 5-star experience and the second was a 1-star. The 1st time, I needed a ride home at 1:30 in the morning. The driver arrived promptly and was very professional, loading our luggage, etc. The 2nd time, I needed a ride at 11:30 in the morning. The driver arrived at 12:30 (1 1/2 hours after I called), we had to ask him to open the trunk so we could put our luggage there, the vehicle was filthy, he wasn't wearing a mask. The men on the other end greeted me very nicely and took all the pertinent information and even quoted the price. Mine you I called twenty four hours prior to my trip. I wish I could give negative 10 stars for the horrible customer service I received this morning. When I requested a ride to the airport early in the morning he told me I should have called ahead. I said I agreed but we had reserved an Uber XL weeks before and they didn't show and canceled the ride minutes before. He laughed at me and said that is what I get for using the app and in his hysterical laughter sarcastically said "why don't you call them, oh right they don't have a phone, good luck!". I am sorry if your business might be suffering due to ride shares but with that kind of customer service it will most definitely continue to suffer, so keep on laughing! read more

If I can give a less than one star review I would. In September I utilized this company for a 3.5 mile distance about 6-7min drive and was given one price. I recently used the same cab service for the same exact triP and paid 60% higher rate. When I asked about the justification the dispatcher was absolutely obnoxious. I made an account to alert people of this "company" (if you would even call it that at this point) and their terrible taxi service. For starters, the dispatcher usually has a rude tone about him if you ask any questions. It took them approx. 30 mins to get to me and I was not notified of any wait time at all but instead told they'd be there 'soon' instead of something like 'it'll be about 25-30 minutes'. I don't mind a wait at all, but if there IS a wait then you need to say so instead of saying 'soon' because we clearly have very different definitions of 'soon' and if you're not going to come 'soon' then I could've found another service that had the capability to do so. Then they had the nerve to insist that it had always been $10 from the area that I've been travelling from for the past 5 months now as if they're being slick about the very obvious TWO DOLLAR price hike. If it has always been $10 the way that you vehemently insisted it was, then I guess that your drivers have been charging me only $8 for the past 5 months that I've been going to and from this same exact address to my own just to screw you over. This isn't the first time they've let me down. They've told me they'd be there in 20 mins and didn't come for another 15 mins after that and I've been picked up in a car that smelled strongly like smoke another time, so I'll be finding a better service at this point. The only reason why I'm giving 5 stars is because they have very nice, and pleasant drivers. However, the man who picks up the phone and night, always sounds like he has an attitude. He can also be rude at times. I have a few drivers that I know by name, and Doug the older gentlemen is one of the nicest guys you can ever meet. Picked me up from my location and had no idea where I was going despite me calling ahead and informing them. Driver asked me to use my cell phone GPS instead of his Garmin. Car smelled like smoke. To take credit cards, I had to call the local number and read my credit card number over the phone to the operator, who could not email me a receipt and only texted me a photo of my receipt upon my suggestion. I informed the driver that I had a call and he turned the radio on at the exact minute my call started. At the end of the ride, I asked the driver for change for a $20 so that I could catch my train and provide a tip. He refused to give me full change for my $20 and instead suggested that "$5 seems good for me right man? I did a good job." Ridiculous. read more

Got off the train at Matawan in the pouring rain and I saw a Patsy's taxi so I called the number on the side and they sent a car that arrived in literally 4 minutes. Driver quickly took us to our destination and it was decently cheap too. They saved me in a pinch so I'd certainly recommend them! read more

Terrible service! Guy who picks up is incredibly rude and has a bad attitude problem. Im surprised this cab service is still in business. Cab is always dirty no matter who picks me up. Some nice guys and then some guys with attitude and disrespect. Car always smells weird! Cab drivers ask for tips. Sometimes take long to get to you and dont care. Ive taken this cab service maybe about 10 times and im never taking it again. I recommend using uber its cheaper, more professional, cleaner and more safe. Was in Matawan NJ, and my Mom got locked out of the house. We live in Marlboro, so it wasn't a bad drive. Tried KB Taxi first, and they told me that to get a taxi it would be over an hour. Front desk staff recommended Patsy's, so I waited outside for a little bit. Nice to know they're in Matawan. Soon afterwards, I saw a blue van that looked like a taxi, so I literally waved it down. Pauley, the driver, was so nice! He drove me home and I was so relieved! Never had an issue with the dispatcher. Everyone is saying that he is rude, but I guess he thought it was an emergency situation since I had severe anxiety. I'd definitely use them again in a pinch! read more

Horrible Customer Service. Unreliable! Called for a taxi at 5:11 pm to schedule a pick up at midnight. Not only did they not show up, but when I called this morning I spoke to such a rude person who told me pretty much he has no idea what happened. Not his problem because it was the night dispatcher. Call back after 5:00. I asked to speak to the Manager and he said he's not going to mention this to his boss because he's not getting anyone in trouble. Totally dismissive. Didn't care. I've used them twice for pickups and I called them. The wait depends on how busy they are, so not really much you can do about that. I recommend giving yourself plenty of time. They're okay in a pinch. The dispatcher can be a little abrasive, and the drivers have a tendency to drive like maniacs, but hey, they're a cab company. What did I expect? read more

Date: Sunday 5/28/17. I called them at 730 for a cab to take me to the Matawan station for an 830 train, and they told me a car would be there @ 800. At 805, the cab still hadn't come so I called to ask if the driver was on their way. The dispatcher assured me that someone would be there in a few minutes. At 815 the car still wasn't there, so I called back and said that I had a train to catch, and that the driver had better hurry up--not unreasonable, since it's a 10-15 minute drive. 820, still no car. Called and was told by the dispatcher that since I was being rude to him he was going to contact the driver and tell them not to pick me up. Missed my train on account of this dickwad. They suck, and I will never use them again. read more

We used this car service and they charged us for 2 vans when we only asked for 1. There was 5 people and they had the nerve to charge 64.00. The driver said I will drive you back where you came because I am Not losing my job over 64.00. What type of service is this. Do yourself a favor and find another cab company. I have used them several times for transportation to Newark Airport, Bayonne cruise terminal, various train stations, and also transportation to work a few times when my car broke down. They always arrive on time or early when scheduled in advance, and quickly when called for immediate transport, even when I called at 3 am. This was a lifesaver when I was working at a job that required working all hours and I could not rely on anyone to pick me up in the middle of the night, especially when I did not know exactly when I would be done. I have found that for me living not that far from them, they tend to have the best rates, too. And the drivers are nice and friendly. Highly recommend. read more

I have used Patsy's a few times in the past. Even with Uber and Lyft, I continued to use Patsy's, wanting to support a local business. However, after my last trip with them, I will never use them again. We called for a pickup, and were told 15-20 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes, we called the dispatcher and were told the car would be there in 7-8 minutes. Twelve minutes later the driver finally showed up. While this might not seem like a major delay, we were trying to make it to a surprise party and didn't want to get there late. When we got in the car, we told the driver that we understand it's not his fault and the dispatcher did a bad job, but were upset that he was late since we had a surprise party to go to. The driver did not apologize and blamed the dispatcher. He then proceeded to go the long way, bypassing two shorter routes. As he put on his signal to make a turn that would take us the long way yet again, we spoke up and asked him not to go that way, and told him the way we wanted him to go. He then got an attitude, offended that we would ask him to go a certain way. We explained that we wanted to get there as soon as possible, as we were already late and it was a surprise party. He said "so you'll be late and miss the surprise, no big deal". He was completely flippant about the whole thing. When we got to the destination, we gave him a $20 for a $15 ride, and he was completely shocked that we wanted change, asking a few times "You want change? You really want change?". We were going to tip him, but not $5 since it was a terrible experience from start to finish. Additionally, I didn't like his assumption that he should not have to provide us with change. Turns out he didn't even have $5 to give me, only $3, so he ended up tipping himself anyway. This was a terrible experience, and we will never use them again. We took a Lyft home from the party and it was a much better experience- cheaper too. read more

There are a lot of shady dealings with Old Bridge Taxi, so much so that the owners Michael and Georgette Hegarty were under police investigation that led to their business license being suspended. Word to the wise: use a reputable service like Patsy's! read more

Great experience. Needed a ride from the train station and found one of their vans there. Then later needed a ride back to the station and they arrived quickly. Very reasonably priced and the drivers were friendly. I was even offered to wait in the van for my train until their next pickup since it was raining. I will definitely use them again next time I'm in the area. read more
