I asked for help to locate her room and the staff was so friendly and helpful. It was wonderful to see how well taken care of the residents were. I noticed great effort was given to provide an atmosphere where the residents felt included in social events and activities. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and how well it was maintained. I was given a tour of the property and the grounds were very well kept. I saw leisurely activities the residents could take part in, as well as spaces for family members to come and celebrate with them. Afterwards, I ate at one of their cafe's and really enjoyed the lunch. Everywhere I went, the staff was so friendly. It had the feel of being home. If I had to refer someone to a nursing/residential facility, this would be the place.

The entire Rehab Team created a caring environment with an impeccably high standard of care, delivered with warmth to my mother when she was admitted after a fall. I was impressed by the Team's manners and compassion, something you rarely find these days. Not one of my questions or concerns went unanswered. The staff demonstrated total commitment into caring for my mother. There were specific individuals who offered exceptional dedication and outstanding professional performance, as well as compassion, understanding, and caring. The Village at Summerville is an institution unique in its compassion for its residents.

We were pleased with his level of care & the attentiveness of the care staff. I was pleased with their level of communication - they ensured I was in the loop regarding what was going on with my father. He adjusted well and we felt confident his needs were being met. He moved to the Memory Care unit (MC) a few weeks ago and seems to be thriving in this new area. The level of care is different, but still great! I have no doubt my dad is in the best place for his needs. I would definitely recommend the Presbyterian Community. The only less than positive thing I can say is the facility is quite dated and is in need of being updated. But, the facility is safe, clean and appropriate.

The DON and ADON were both unprofessional with how they communicated to me (a guest), as well as the employee. Not only were the attitudes of the management unprofessional and unpleasant, as was the attire being worn throughout the building. The apparel being worn is indistinguishable unprofessional and unacceptable. If the other workers have to come in with a uniform on, and still looking professional, then that example should be being set by upper man. The lack of care is becoming visible more and more as I visit. This place needs to be investigated by the state. Ever since I started visiting, i've noticed that its nothing but a liability to the city. Patiently waiting on mom to finish her therapy so I can rescue her from this place of hell!

Wow what can I say. I was transferred to the Reserve from Summerville medical center so I could get…read morePhysical Rehabilitation since I had just had me leg amputated. Biggest mistake I could have made was to not say NO. They got me into the room and were supposed to do a workup on me, check for cuts and bruises and things. But it never happened. One day a nurse comes in and asks me what arm did the do a TB test on. This was confusing since they never did that test. Now remember this is supposed to be a Healthcare facility which should be as clean as possible. It wasn't.i was there for 15 useless days and my room was never swept or mopped. It was disgusting.my food when I got any was cold and the iced tea frozen. There was a flue outbreak there and I never got down to the rehab room for what I needed. There is so much more to say that's negative about this establishment but I just don't have the energy to write it. There were a couple great nurses and the PT and OT people were fantastic. This was the homes savings grace. But I will die before going back to the Reserve. So if you have a loved one who needs this type of place DO NOT PLACE them here

This is the worst place I ever been in. The care was the worst I have ever seen in my life. The…read moreplace was nasty and filthy. I wouldn't let a dog be treated that or stay in that filth. The nurses never came when my brother would push the button. They did not have bed rails on the beds. My brother could have died in there and they would not have none because they don't check on him. He had a bad cough and they would not X-ray his chest. I finally made them call 911 and he ended in the hospital with pneumonia and the flu. My brother has had 5 open heart surgeries and he could have died. I could go on and on but I'm getting madder and madder about the whole and I'm considering a law suit against them for their failure to treat the patients. My brothers roommate was in such bad shape that I had to call his mother because he was in so much pain and they did nothing. Please do NOT send any of your family or anyone you know. I added this business over two months ago. I have been putting this writing off…read more So I will start now... They took care of my dad with patience and care. Whenever I visited, I was treated warmly, and my father was always resting comfortably in a clean room and a pristine bed, with carefully laundered, comfortable clothes. He had dementia, so he was unable to tell us how the staff was treating him (and never having been the type of person to complain) we had to take non-verbal cues. All the cues pointed to a staff that was both patient and caring. Trust was essential to us and something we considered heavily before deciding on a place for our beloved father. During his final days, our family experienced feelings that I cannot properly put into words here. Likewise, I am unable to express how sensitive the staff was in their treatment of my father. I imagine that they deal with loss on a regular basis, but never once did they regard our grief casually. My father was a kind, gentle, man and was known for his singing voice, his whistling, his love of jazz and his love of the Word. The staff made sure he was able to enjoy all these things during his final days. They all knew him by name, and said he was easy to care for and easy to care about. This was evident in their heartfelt farewell. You can not pay someone to care, and [care] is what they did here. Perhaps I have not adequately relayed, but in my heart I will absolutely, always appreciate every last member of this staff for giving of themselves so selflessly, when it counted most.
