Actually went to that location when searching on line and read it's on Crown Colony and went there to discover an employee there said the paper left 6 years ago. I called several numbers and no response plus left messages and no call backs! I remembered a Reporter Neal Simpson but to no avail a ROAD BLOCK! Very Disappointing! . read more

Patriot Ledger - Print Media Near Me - Quincy, Massachusetts

The Patriot Ledger has a scam going! I was asked by a man outside Walmart to start a month subscription for $16. for the first month and also I would receive a gift card for Walmarts $15. Well the gift card never came and I was charged within 2 weeks for another $16. I've called and I'm trying to get the second charge refunded and just letting everyone know what happened to me! read more

Horrible customer service. They've called me multiple times saying I owe money for a subscription I've asked them to cancel many times. Whenever I tell them I've cancelled, they tell me I haven't. I'm so frustrated, and want absolutely nothing to do with Patriot Ledger at this point! read more

This use to be a terrific local paper when my parents were alive. Not any more. The newspaper uses independent contractors to deliver. This week, the newspaper decided to void their contract, which was legal and starting in May, will be delivered by: The USPS? What? A six day local newspaper being mailed. Tried to reach out to newspaper via social media, telephone and email about this change. Either no reply to message or no one picked up telephone or it was all bots. Come beginning of May, GOOD BYE LEDGER! read more

I regularly sign up for 12 weeks of the Saturday Patriot Ledger and have learned the hard way never to use a credit card or keep an open account. I write a check and indicate 12 weeks on the form. Why? Because They lose track of the delivery, miss weeks, miscount the 12 weeks, etc. So I am never quite sure when my 12 weeks are up. Never give them your credit card!!!! The way I do it, If they miss deliveries, I call to complain and they make up for it. At least I hope so. In a few weeks normally. Crazy!!! I sign up for 12 weeks and wait a while to restart. Eventually I get a letter asking me to start a new subscription. And I restart my Sat paper again. Two months ago I sent a check in for a new subscription, they kept my money and refuse to send out papers. They claim that they sent papers after my 12 weeks were up and I didn't pay forthem. Didn't ask for them. Not my idea to send out extra papers, if they were indeed extra. Who knows. So I am out $16+ dollars and no papers. read more

Left them 2 phone messages and sent 2 emails inquiring about something they published in their Real Estate section. Said it was urgent. ZERO call backs, ZERO email responses. No wonder newspapers are going out of business. read more

It has taken me a matter of weeks to connect with the Ledger by email and telephone. Absolutely given the run-around. No legitimate email address and no person to deal with. At the bottom of the obit page in the Ledger is the following: obits@ledger.com. There is no such address via email. I am absolutely disgusted with your making it possible to enter info for an obit and what the cost is. I pay plenty for my subscription and actually considering canceling my subscription. I wondering if the Ledger makes that impossible. If I attached a picture it would be a disgusted Ledger subscriber. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I have officially called into Customer Service 4 times to fix a mistake that should have been resolved in July (five months ago)! I spoke with someone from the national subscription office to set up an "EZPay" automatic debit from my credit card back in July. She said it was all setup, that the future payments would come right off of my card, and that I was all set. Not so much. In September I received a call from another representative saying there was an even bigger balance due (mind you, I only received the Saturday paper). When I said that I had provided my information for EZPay three months ago, the second representative apologized, said that the first person coded my account incorrectly, and said she would take care of the balance and set up my EZPay...Not so much!! Two months after that (at this point my paper has stopped coming altogether), ANOTHER person from the local office, who by the way has ZERO contact with the main customer service location, called me and ASSURED ME that THIS TIME he had taken care of everything...NOT SO MUCH!!! Today I called into the main customer service number, and they had NO RECORD of my interaction of the local office, and told me that I had an even larger balance due!! I am outraged at this lack of communication and overall piss poor customer service. Now I'm in limbo waiting for "Corporate" to get involved to take care of the balance...ridiculous. If you're looking for a good local paper, go to the Globe! Don't put yourself through this mess! read more

The Patriot Ledger delivery on strike on weekends? Until 4 weeks ago we used to get Friday and Saturday delivery of The Patriot Ledger. Anyone else having this problem? read more

Terrible customer service. I prepaid for a 56-week subscription in June 2017. They cut off my subscription in January 2018. They wanted me to pay again to restart my subscription. They weren't joking, unfortunately, nor were they listening to reason. I had been a subscriber for many years, and I miss my newspaper. But I will never do business with them again. My Better Business Bureau complaints, interestingly, have gone ignored by both the Patriot Ledger itself and their parent company, Gatehouse Media. What can they be thinking? Do not subscribe to this newspaper. You may well end up without your money and without your newspaper, as I did. read more

I was just wondering if anyone else has been harassed by this company after canceling their subscription. I chose not to renew several years ago and they still call once every couple of months. read more

Worst customer service ever. They billed me three times in May on direct bill. After numerous calls to customer service asking to reimburse me for the two extra months billed, my requests were not handled. I had to get my credit card company to step in, which they did (thank you, Capital One) by having a three-way conference call to get them to give me my money back. When they finally gave me a refund, I stopped direct bill and paid my bill for a defined number of weeks. We only receive the Saturday edition. I have not received a Saturday paper for four weeks. Last week I called and asked for the three weeks to be extended on my subscription. They said they would. This week no paper again. Called at 8:00 a.m. this past Saturday when it didn't arrive, and they said someone would definitely deliver it in a little while ... guess what, no paper. I'll be calling and cancelling my subscription. I'll probably have to get my credit company involved again I'm sure to refund my money. Do they wonder why they're losing delivery customers? I don't think they want us anymore. Too bad I had to give them one star in the review. I would have given them minus 5 stars, because one star was too generous. read more

Do not subscribe to the Patriot Ledger. On May 1 I continued my subscription and mailed a check for $273, including tip, for 26 weeks. I did not receive a paper on May 3,4,5,12 and from May 16 onward. I have called Customer Service four times and each time told my account would be credited and delivery would resume. It has not resumed. Customer Service is in Florida. Need I say more? I can find no other number to call. read more

Ordered Saturday delivery on Jan 31st 2015 it is now April 11th 2015 and I have yet to have my paper delivered. 10 Saturdays in a row and they haven't found my house. I have called every Saturday and asked for re-delivery and have gotten a paper 4 times the other 6 times nobody came. This company is absurd !! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE !! Called 10 times and was promised this problem would be fixed and spoke to supervisors and I was assured this problem would be fixed and NO RESULTS !!! Do not make the same mistake I did and order delivery from the Patriot Ledger !! YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED !!! read more

I subscribed to Home delivery on April 18 in Marshfield, I waited the 5 days that the order indicated it would take to begin service. Imagine my surprise when I called and was told that delivery had started on the 19th. I cancelled my order (after 19 minutes on hold.) read more

Customer service not helpful - Delivery problems, billing problems or accounts updates all impacting delivery are not adequately resolved. Paid for subscription in FULL in April 2016. Have been shut off twice and called for reinstatement multiple times to be told paper will be restarted. Received a phone call last week offering me a subscription!!!! Of course that Representative could do nothing to assist the resolution either. Better Business Bureau here I come..... I've had it. Laura H. Weymouth MA read more

A large subscription price increase for 2016 while quality and quantity continue to plummet. If the physical size continues shrinking at the recent rate, the paper will soon lose the only value it retains (as bird cage liner.) The editions without much advertising (especially Mondays and Tuesdays) are so thin a light breeze will blow them right off the porch. With a better paper I could understand the price increases, but I'd still be annoyed at their petty schemes for extracting a few extra bucks from their customers. One of these is the $0.60 per week add-on for the useless "TV Times", which you have to pay up-front and have to call customer service to cancel if you don't want it. Another is the so-called "premium editions" - special supplements with content no better than the rest of the paper but printed on nice, thick, shiny paper. These have a $2.00 surcharge which is charged by reducing the length of your subscription. So a one year subscription does not actually last for one year. At least the Ledger magnanimously informs us that "there will be no more than 12 premium editions per calendar year." read more
