The symptoms will go away in a year." A year and five months later, the symptoms haven't gone away. I called her office, filled out MORE insurance paperwork, only to be told by her receptionist that they have to cancel my appointment, because--WRONG INSURANCE! So again, who knows what kind of doctor she might be? She would have made a hell of an insurance adjuster. Perhaps she missed her true calling.

And of course, accepts insurance. She came highly recommended by one of those 'top docs' in Connecticut and did not disappoint.

I was on Percocet for over 30 years for a spinal disease called DISH and multiple herniations over…read morethat time. The day I go on vacation was the day I was supposed to pick up my monthly Percocet but my flight left earlier than the pharmacy was open so I tried to get Turok to send me my meds to where I was going. I had multiple problems getting that done so I came home in alot of pain and extreme stiffness. His office then sent a much smaller dose and smaller quantity of my medication and I kept asking why and all I got was Dr Turok leaving nasty messages. Then I receive a letter that starting Jan 1st 2023, his office was no longer prescribing opiods and left me with NOTHING to hold me over AND still no reason why he, for the 1st time ever reduced my meds without reason! I now find out he lied to me, that letter was a complete lie and he has been prescribing opiods without interruption! STILL NO EXPLANATION and now he has blackballed me as no other pain mgt doctor will give me what I need, give me any opiods at all and some won't even see me!!! I not only have advanced DISH but now need a 4 level fusion in my neck, have Shmorl nodes eating away my lumbar spine and this POS doctor could care less! On top of that, he talked me into getting Testosterone implanted in me last year without any care that my BP spiked so high that I almost stroked out and refused to take any responsibility. Moreover, I found out after the fact that when I thought I was getting epidurals for my neck and back, they were either trigger point injections or nerve blocks. As others have pointed out, Turok is nice when you're giving him the high priced injections and other treatments that he can make the most money but if you mainly need pain meds to function and you cause any issue on getting your meds, he'll shut you down and lie his ass off! Avoid this POS! It's too bad I couldn't give a 0 Stars.

Because I presented with unusual bilateral facial pain, Dr Yeung disregarded my symptoms and diagnosed me with Persistent Idiopathic Facial Pain, a garbage diagnosis. When all the medications failed i decided to try Botox, which is where Dr Gottschalk came in. He did not want to hear about my theory that I had Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia and maybe another neuralgia. I showed him the various criteria I met on the International Classification of Headache Diseases within the facial neuralgia section. Nope. I went to a world renowned expert in the area of facial neuralgia. He read my pain logs, my McGill Pain Scale, looked at my sketch showing the location and type of pain on my face. He said I was right, I had TN2, or Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia. Guess who disregarded this information? A new MRI, the RIGHT KIND POINTING AT THE CORRECT PART OR MY SKULL, showed i had s surgical option, one i would have take 4 years earlier if only Kyeung and Gottschalk hadn't failed me through their arrogance.

By the time I met with Dr. Golzad, I had lost all hope. I had seen many doctors and rehabilitation…read morespecialists for a work-related Traumatic Brain Injury. I was suffering from many cognitive, psychological and physical problems. I had to walk with canes or walkers, I couldn't concentrate on conversations, and I couldn't finish the simplest task. I was given the impression that I wasn't going to improve and that the passage of time would only make my symptoms worse. I was frightened, isolated, and profoundly depressed. My wife heard good things about Dr. Golzad and forced me to see him. My first visit with Dr. Golzad was very different than anything I had experienced until then. First, he observed my gait. Due to my balance disorder I had fallen several times. I used walkers to go around. Dr. Golzad realized that I had developed an extreme fear of falling and that I needed to overcome before I could improve. He attached me to a harness that was rigged to an overhead trolley. He took away my walkers and asked me to walk. The harness held me up. After several steps, Dr. Golzad gradually loosened the harness and encouraged me to walk from one end of the hallway to the other without my walkers. Then he removed the harness and to my surprise I walked. Within several weeks of performing a series of exercises, my legs got stronger and my mind got over the paralyzing phobia that several falls after the TBI had left me with. I became capable of leaving my house without my walkers! Still, as I explained, the depression was profound. I had seen psychiatrists. I was proscribed one antidepressant after another. My depression was resistant to Prozac and other drugs. That left me feeling like a failure. My whole life had changed. I didn't want to be depressed. No one wants to be depressed. Dr. Golzad began regular injections of the drug Ketamine in his office. Music therapy and aromatherapy were part of the treatment. After several sessions, my incurable sadness lifted. I wanted to and did engage more actively in the various therapy sessions to improve my cognition. All along, Dr. Golzad had me take nutritional supplements. I began an intensive program of supervised neurofeedback-assisted cognitive remediation therapy. It took several months until I made enough progress to stop supervised therapy. I continue the exercises on my own. I have restarted projects and I engage in activities I had to abandon after my accident. I no longer feel isolated. I feel hopeful again. Just a few weeks ago I started a volunteer job in a chronic healthcare facility. In my experience, a TBI injury is devastating. A patient must get the right care. Dr. Golzad personalized my care, all of it. I needed a lot of help and I got it. I am so glad my wife insisted I try one more doctor and that doctor turned out to be Dr. Golzad. To my fellow TBI survivors, do not give up. Wherever you are in this country, find the right doctor. There is light at the end of a dark and scary tunnel.
