Jessica left and returned moments later and told me Dr. Vaught would take care of me now...and did! (with the assistance of her extremely capable assistant, whose name, age-related, I forgot. Instead of taking accountability for their mistake, they escalated the situation by sending the balance to a collection agency. This is incredibly upsetting and unprofessional, especially considering the issue originated from their failure to properly handle the insurance claim. Patients should not be penalized for a provider's billing errors. I strongly recommend that others be cautious, keep detailed records, and follow up closely on any insurance claims if you choose to use this office.
