Kevin normally is quite nervous being at the vet but when I brought him here he was laying down calmly on the vets table and when Dr Diehl came in he continued to lay calmly on the table. That impressed me. Dr Diehl did a great job on Kevin's teeth. He's recovering well and now has beautiful white teeth. Thank you very much for caring for my boy!

I scheduled and canceled Ollie's euthanasia appointment four different times because I just wasn't ready, and they never once made me feel guilty or pressured. They even allowed me to arrive and then back out when I couldn't go through with it. That level of kindness and humanity is something I will never forget. When the time finally came, they gave Ollie such a peaceful, dignified passing, and gave me the space and support I needed. I also want pet owners to be aware that many veterinary clinics today are owned by VCA Animal Hospitals, which is part of Mars Corp. the same company behind well-known candy brands. Since that corporate takeover, many practices have become more expensive with vets and staff paid commissions on what procedures they sell! Wine Country Veterinary Hospital is independent and not owned by VCA/Mars, and it truly shows not only in their fair pricing, but in the genuine, heartfelt care they give. Anything I expected. Everyone was so nice. The receptionist was super sweet and very patient. The amount of care they gave to my dog was phenomenal and they generally care about the animals you take there. I felt that all my questions were answered. And they took their time to talk to me. Rather than addressing my concerns or attempting to discuss the situation, Dr. Karanveer Mann sent his technician to inform me that "he's not comfortable seeing me." This response is disappointing on multiple levels. First, refusing service to a client for leaving a fair review raises serious questions about how feedback is handled at this practice. Second, the lack of direct communication shows poor customer service and unprofessional conflict resolution. I also believes this demonstrates his character over all. If my previous review contained inaccuracies, I would have welcomed a conversation to address them. I would have even removed the review as part as an agreed resolution. Instead, I was dismissed without any attempt at dialogue. This experience has only reinforced my original concerns about the practice's approach to client relationships. On a personal level - look Dr. Mann, you need to humble yourself and although I might not look like it, I'm sure I earn more money than you as an engineer of 15+ years without the doctorate degree and your attitude that comes along with it. The vet came with a truckload of vet stuff; he spent a good half hour with me before coming in to the house, talking about the cat issues and giving her a pill sedative so that he could examine her. He managed to corral her safely, wrap her in a cat blanket with a secure closure, and gave her an exam. He prescribed her some medications and gave me advice on feeding portions and types of cat food to consider. Very grateful for his thorough discussion with me. My cat is fine now, no longer vomitting, and has lost a little blubber.

I found him searching the internet & it was clear that Bear was nearing the end of his days. As soon as I saw that he was a death doula & provided home visits as a vet, I knew he was the right fit for our family. I texted him & he rang me back immediately. We set the date & had a beautiful living memorial all week. Friends & family visited to give Bear love & wish him well on his journey to the rainbow bridge. Dr. Ken arrived & spent time getting to know Bear & hearing his life story. The procedure itself was gentle & we were able to hold Bear close in his last moments in the comfort of our bedroom. After he passed, we spent time in our grief & at just the right moment Dr. Ken came in to remind us of the beautiful life we were blessed to share with Bear. He read poems burnt sage & did some sound healing. The ritual & beauty of what he provides wrapped us in comfort at our loss. I carried Bear from our home as Dr. Ken played a Native American hand drum & placed him into a sweet basket for his final departure. Our hearts are still aching from the loss of our sweet boy. It was such a blessing to provide him with a dignified & supported end of life. We were left with literature & resources to support us in our grief process. The next day we even got a beautiful obituary poem from Dr. Ken which left us in tears followed by a song which left us rolling around in laughter even through the tears of loss. I highly recommend his services if anyone is faced with this hard decision. I am letting everyone I know that he is the most amazing & caring person to reach out to for this service.
