My quest for finding something to anchor down the 10x10 Yelp festival tent continues... with…read moresuccess! I had started looking for something last week (with no avail) at Lowe's and gave up in disgust for a few days. But with Earth Day right around the corner, it's get 'r done time. A friend of a friend referred me to Bad Dog Productions - and it's a good thing because I never would have found them on my own. Hidden in an industrial park in Kirkwood, this shop is run out of what looks like a giant garage. From what I could gather from the short time I was there, they sell production equipment for film makers... and I guess the stuff they carry also applies to festival tents, too :) I got some custom sand bags that have a strap on them so the average person can carry them around AND not have to worry about them busting open if they get dropped or thrown around. Yes! The only drawback is that these high-quality sand bags come with a hefty price tag of $37.50 each. Ouch! I only bought two for now, since that seemed expensive. But if I need more, I know where to go. And it's a small price to pay for knowing that my tent won't blow away at the slightest breeze :)

The first time that I saw Switzerfilm I knew without a doubt that I HAD to have them for my wedding…read moreday. Switzerfilm was the first vendor that I called after getting engaged and I told them that I would pick my wedding day based on whatever availability they had. From start to finish, they were wonderful, creative, professional, and an absolute joy to work with. Switzerfilm was by far my favorite part of our wedding day. They made me feel so special throughout the whole day. My husband never likes getting his picture taken, but even he loved Switzerfilm. They were able to capture the most amazing photographs and video footage. I had very high expectations of Switzerfilm from the very beginning and they surpassed what I had even pictured in my head. The pricing is very comparable, especially when you figure in that you have full rights to all of your pictures afterwards. Out of all the amazing things that Switzerfilm does right, the same day edit completely blew me away. They will put the video on a huge projector screen so the whole reception can enjoy it. To have the whole reception stop, walk away from the bar, and be completely quiet is nothing short of a miracle. Switzerfilm has THAT affect. After our video was played I had countless people come up to me and tell me how perfect it was and how they want/wished they had that at their wedding. My parents are still getting stopped by people in the grocery store 5 months later telling them how much they enjoyed our video. It is the most perfect keepsake from our wedding that we will truly enjoy for a lifetime. I am forever thankful to Switzerfilm for helping me have the wedding of my dreams!

Don is amazing at what he does and he truly works with you in achieving what you want for your photos. He did our engagement photos recently and it went really smooth. He made it fun and we felt comfortable taking pictures with him because he made everything go with the flow and it felt very natural! We took pictures at Balboa park and he took us around to different spots so that he could maximize the area and beauty of Balboa Park. It was nice that he wanted us to have a big selection of photos with different background and styles. When we were taking pictures Don made us feel very relaxed. I loved that he made us feel at home and it was enjoyable! He taught us different poses and made it simple as possible. It was such a fun day! Don even makes bouquets for you as a prop during photo taking!! And they ARE BEAUTIFUL!! He seriously could be a florist too! LOL The week before our engagement photos he even called me to talk about attire and it was really nice of him to talk about what would be best to wear and he really wanted us to look perfect on that day and suggested many different outfits and even asked if he could see what we got planned to see if it would go well with the theme etc. it was really considerate of him to take the time to reach out to us and care about our wardrobe and how the pictures will look with certain attire. Don sent us a lot of engagement photos and they all turned out beautifully!! I was very impressed and I am excited to work with him on videography and photography for our wedding day. Don is a very dedicated photographer and videographer. I can already see that it is his passion. He is very busy and books up fast so be considerate of his responses! He truly does try to get back to me asap and I haven't had any problems with communication the last couple months working with him. He is always awesome on calling me and touching base with me and reviewing whatever needs to be reviewed. Thank you Don!

We used this company for our high school's prom for the last two years. The first year, the DJ…read moredidn't have any of our music downloaded and couldn't connect to the venue's wifi, so he didn't play anything that we wanted (and couldn't accommodate requests... but he asked for them anyway). What happened this year is reprehensible. During our dance, this DJ asked multiple high school-age girls for their phone numbers. He showed up to a kid's house party after the dance ended. That night, some students found a bio online that he had written saying proms were his favorite events to work, but, in our call weeks before, he told me that this was his first prom. This detail has now been removed. We reported this incident to Millennium Productions. Their excuse for a solution is to restrict this DJ from working proms in the future. We are extremely disappointed in the company's failure to fully hold its employees accountable for inexcusable predatory behavior. Do not work with them.
