Robert Main - Our rental in Rosemont/Del Ray

We've rented our home from Mr. Main for five years, and he's been a great landlord. He is very…read moreresponsive - he's never taken more than a couple hours to call me back, and usually he picks up right away. When our fridge broke, he got us a new one within days. He replaced the washer dryer just as quickly. We had some trouble with freezing pipes, and when he couldn't get his own plumber out ASAP, he sent an emergency plumber to come to the rescue even tho it was a lot more expensive for him. (He ended up putting in a temperature-sensitive heating coil, so the pipes don't freeze at all now.) He let me paint the kitchen cabinets, and the previous tenants worked out a deal to renovate the front yard - they did the labor and he covered materials. There haven't been any hidden fees, and he's only increased our rent by like $20 or $40 every year. I am updating my review because I saw a lot of comments about fees to get repairs. That was in our lease too, and we asked about it. He told us at the time it's in there as a protection for him and that he wouldn't charge us the repair fee unless it was for something we'd caused. He hasn't once charged us for any repairs, even when he had to send a plumber just because we couldn't locate our own water shut-off valve. When we thought about moving to a bigger place, we first called Mr. Main, because we would have liked to rent from him again rather than starting over with some random landlord. So I see the negative reviews but that hasn't been even close to my experience. Be sure to look at the reviews that aren't currently recommended, to get a more full picture. But overall I'm a fan of Mr Main.

I found Robert Main to be a man of high integrity and willing to go the extra mile for you.read more

Her industry expertise, local knowledge, and open communication made the entire process easier. Within the first few days on market, we received multiple offers over asking price. We cannot recommend Suzanne more to anyone in the DC area looking for an experienced agent to work with. She's truly the best!

She gave us a first-time home buyer training that saved us so much time and money and gave us the education we needed to go house hunting in this chaotic housing market. At an open house we attended we overheard buyers asking their Realtor questions about the home purchase process, we were able to help answer some of their questions because of the training course we received from Suzanne. To say that Suzanne is good at her job is an understatement, she is head and shoulders above other Realtors. She takes your home purchase experience personal; she treats it as if you are her family. Her experience with spotting potential issues in a home were instrumental in keeping us from getting into the wrong house. We will not be making any home purchases or home improvements in Virginia without Suzanne.

I cannot recommend Shaun enough as a realtor. He recently helped us to sell our townhome and…read morepurchase a larger house in preparation of welcoming our third child. From Day 1, he was incredibly responsive, detail oriented and truly cared about what was best for our family, not the quickest deal. He led us step by step through the listing and staging process, handled an open house and eliminated so much stress that can otherwise come from moving. For our home search, he suggested listings, showed up to properties with us and recommended an excellent inspector, electrician, and we closed quickly. It's easy to offer Shaun to anyone in the area looking to buy or sell. We were truly blessed to work with him and should we ever need to move again, he'll be my first call.

I'm a happy home owner because of Shaun…read more I lived in DC for 20 years before deciding that I wanted to buy a place. And since I use Yelp for everything else, I decided to see what the People said about realtors in the area. As you can see, Shaun has a lot of fans. I loved what people had to say about him but it was really the video on his website that convinced me to set up a call with him. Hearing Shaun talk about where he grew up, how he ended up in DC and how he runs his business seemed almost too good to be true. But he's the real deal. Shaun wants to help you find your perfect place more than he wants to just sell you a house. Since I was doing this completely on my own it was important to me that I felt comfortable with my realtor. And while I took friends on a couple showings, in the end it was Shaun that helped me figure out which place was right for me. He would gently point out things that maybe I didn't notice or tell me when something wasn't as big of a deal as I thought. When I tried to talk myself into something he would remind me of the reoccurring dream I had about more space and how maybe XX wasn't a good fit if that was still important to me. I was on the fence about whether I wanted to leave the District. I ended up buying in DC but Shaun did a good job showing me all around Old Town. He'd listen to what I liked and didn't like and then adjust what we would look at the next time And while I'm going to be a city mouse a while longer, I made him promise that when the time comes he will help me sell my current place and buy the next one -- I'm eyeing the Parker-Gray area. Lastly Shaun has a guy for everything. Need a lender, Shaun's gotta guy. Need an electrician, gotta guy. Inspector, check. And this network is just as solid as Shaun. His network walked me through everything as a first time home buyer. I hear people talk about how hard it is to buy a place and honestly that wasn't my experience, at all. Clearly buying a place isn't like picking a happy hour spot but once again Yelp pointed me in the right direction. I love my place and finding and buying it was a really great experience because of Shaun. If I could give him 10 stars and 2 energy drinks, I would.
