Throughout my 18 year career I have made six such moves viewing well over 50 potential residences at each location before making my respective selections. While it would be impossible for me to list every consideration required to choose a home that fits my needs now and at each previous stop (that list would be endless and likely not relevant to you anyways), there are a few things that I find critical to highlight that may be helpful for your search. Before I do, I feel it important to mention that not only is this my first review that I've ever submitted but also, based off of my needs and the needs of my employer I was forced to choose a property in a different area of NOVA. So, why take the time to review a place that I didn't choose to live in? Simply stated, excellence. In well over 300 encounters with owners, property managers, leasing agents, and various other property staff thoughout every region in the United States, I have not come across two more polished, pleasant, kind, and professional representatives of their respective properties than the Property Manger Jessica and my Leasing Agent Asma. They were always available, immediately returned my calls, and patiently respected my process by never adding any pressure to make a decision before I was ready (something incredibly rare in this industry.) To the individual, every resident that I spoke with absolutely raved about these two with no prompting and without hesitation. If like me, the evening view of from your apartment is an important factor in your decision, you likely assume that being able to see it before committing to a lease is a reasonable expectation. To my dissappointment, I found this to be an extremely difficult request for every single other property I visited to fulfill. Not the case here. My request was handled with ease and satisfied immediately. The property itself is immaculate. The homes are extremely well appointed, modern, and quiet. The common areas were always spotless, the patios inviting, the views are absolutely incredible... and seriously, what other property has a golf simulator in the building? If customer service and support during your search is even remotely a consideration for you, you would be doing yourself an immeasurable disservice to overlook Halstead Tower. I am 100% sure that you will find them to be the gold standard and the exact definition of what property professionals should be. My only regret is that my need to respond immediately to multiple locations for work overrode my desire to live in this exquisite property.

We were notified by email…read moreat 10:38 am today May 26, 2026 that the entire North tower will have a powers outage for approximately 8 hours starting at 12 noon. It is now 10:39 pm and we were sent another update email that it won't be until 1 am till we get power back on. It's been so stressful living here and I have had so many anxiety attacks ! I did not renew my lease and I will be moving in June, thank God. Do y move here if you are seeking a pleasant experience and calm. There is always something wrong with these buildings and the in and out of your I it projects that just don't seem to cease! What a nightmare to live here even though you have an oversized balcony and the square footage for a 1 bedroom exceeds what the newer buildings... it's just too much. Don't move here

The place is a brick old style garden apartment community. No amenities. They even have window air conditioning units ( who has that anymore?). The location is prime and the price is the best we could find in the Northern Virginia area. Spoke a great amount with the Manager and she was very informative about the neighborhood and then 2 young men came in the office and began to threaten the maintenance staff. I had heard Alexandria was having many problems with the youth but this was too scary for us. We would of rented if those boys wouldn't of done what they did.

I find him very pleasant, professional and helpful. He's a property manager so he reminds people of the rules when necessary but I've never heard him be rude and am really surprised by the negative reviews here. Also, the building is great, appliances are modern, maintenance is fast and responsive, the common area is beautiful. Public parking is limited, there's no dog park and the delivery room could be better organized but those are minor annoyances to what is, overall, a great place to live.
