I am not quite sure where to begin with this…read more 15 years ago I was diagnosed with three serious auto immune disorders. I am still feeling the effects of those to this day. When the medical stuff hit, our lives were thrown into financial chaos. The normal Kaiser/Blue Cross medical plans didn't begin to cover the expenses that were suddenly our reality. With four boys, my struggling business and declining health we needed to find a way to stay in our home and hold some sense of structure in our family. The only place we found to make up the shortfall was with our taxes. In retrospect not an ideal situation but the only option we had. HELOC's weren't available, credit card debit increased faster than we could pay and our credit score went into a freefall. We came to Tax Tiger before the IRS started to actively come after us and we came up with a plan. TT helped create a path to climb out of the hole we dug ourselves into. From the very start Kathy, her team and later Brittany helped us to avoid the pitfalls and landmines the IRS and tax code throw at you. When we didn't understand something or had more letters, normal and certified, coming at a frantic pace they took time to calm us down, encouraging us to stay the course, systematically explain what was happening and the next steps. For me having my concerns answered in the moment and understanding what was next helped to calm my thoughts from going to the worst-case scenario. As I mentioned before my health has been a major, if not the only factor that has gotten us to our situation. Realistically it isn't going to change with the unfortunate expectation of getting worse. The way that was communicated to the IRS and that it would be a lifelong issue has made all the difference for us. The amount of time and effort devoted to our struggles has been more than we anticipated from the years we have been involved with them. You often hear the short advisements on the radio or tv referencing "programs currently available to reduce or eliminate tax problems, short time to call and fear tactics" designed to make you quickly call out of panic. TT is none of these. They have a professional business model that has actual one on one dealings with the IRS. They don't simply put your numbers into a program, submit them to the IRS, get the results and say "this is the best we can do... and... by the way here is your bill." My experience with them has been more than I hoped for. With stress being a major factor in my ongoing health difficulties their ability to calm that and helping figurately carry that with me has improved my day to day quality of life. If you have tax related issues large or small and want help. Take a few minutes to sit down with them and see what they can do.

They assured me they could and leaned on faith to reassure me. They did not resolve my issue, and when asked for a refund they stood behind made up accountings of the time it took, and told me because of the time they have put into the case, there would be no refund issued. Avoid this company at all costs, or you may very well be out 25k like my wife and I are and then they will try to bully you into submission. I am not satisfied with the efforts the company took to resolve my issue. Nor am I satisfied with the service received. Nor am I satisfied with the work completed. Money is clearly their top motive, not client resolution, or their reputation, chock this one up throwing money into a fire pit. What they do may not be illegal, but it sure feels unethical. This has me wondering if they are faith based, or just in it for themselves?
