HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL!
This is a hospitality industry recruiting agency that franchises to independent owners all over the country.
As a manager in the QSR and fast casual industry, I have dealt with multiple of their franchisees on many occasions over the last 20 years, as a job-seeker. ALL OF MY EXPERIENCES WITH THEM HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE.
Despite responding to a specific job listing and providing current info, you are generally contacted by an agent (owner/operator?) from out-of-state, who has/had obtained your resume from their database (in almost every case the info they have is very old...like years old) because they are looking to fill a specific position with one of their client companies.
You will then be told your info will be submitted and never hear anything back at all unless you take the initiative to follow up with them after waiting days past the timeline you were initially provided. I understand that working with recruiters can have this tendency, but I've experienced the absolute worst from any Patrice And Associates "representative" I've ever dealt with. If you are not placed with the client company they had in mind for you, you will NEVER hear back from them again -- EVER -- good or bad. That is, until they cold call you out of the blue in five years to try to fit you with some other client company.
Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to avoid them, as their job listings practically dominate every major job board in the industry. This makes it difficult for me to understand why if one isn't a good fit for a specific client, they don't continue to try to place you with other clients they may have. I've learned from experience that your past experience and current aspirations are of no concern -- their only concern is whether you will take the crappy, low paying job 50 miles from your home that they haven't been able to fill. I'm not interested in being "added to [their] database" -- I'm interested in finding a job.
I'm sure someone from their "main office" will eventually respond (negatively) to this post. Take a look at Glassd**r.com for reviews on what their franchisees have to say -- if it is critical in any way, someone from corporate will respond to it with some snarky rebuttal accusing the unhappy of not being dedicated or capable.
Dear Patrice And Associates: the first step in correcting a problem is to recognize it, rather than make excuses for it. You need to change your slogan from "reach for it" to "take a look in the mirror".
Job-seekers are your customers too. You're in the people business, remember? read more
