Even with how big the place is and how many people attend you don't feel unwelcome. Every pastor is relatable and kind. Hello, im writing to express my Disappointment re: the class held 10-19-25 Room C-5 ( UNFILTERED ) ,in all do respect the class should have been labeled FILTERED........... On the onset Matt laid down the ground rules... i thought this was a unfiltered ,? the outline in the brochure stated unfiltered , subjects typically not discussed! It turned out all the air in the room was consumed by Matt & Brad ! While they were tooting there horn re: some life experiences, there were approximate 25 people who had attended , with only 3 or so to try and express there opinions, leaving the rest to sit and hear them selves tooting there horn ......... also the QR code was a no go ! i arrived 7 minutes early not realizing We had to enter our questions via QR code app.so were questions being filtered, guess we will never know! not hardly enough time to rewrite notes and questions , opinions i had taken time to previously write down the previous nigh m (sat) so ive had a previous class with matt overseeing, he seems to be full of himself, very obvious.. i found at times he was disingenuous , and putting on a facade, read more

There are a bunch of programs for kids and the music is great, so I wanted to love this church. After the service, I introduced myself to pastor Bill and he said he didn't have time to talk to me. I asked if he had office hours or I if I could schedule a time to say hi and learn about about him but he said no because "if I talk to you I'll have 3000 people wanting to talk to me." He came off dismissive and rude. I don't understand how he can preach the importance of spreading the word of God one minute then be so dismissive of someone trying to bring their family into the faith the next. It really saddened me and my family is looking elsewhere for a more inclusive and friendly church. read more

Pathway church is an excellent church! If you want to get plugged into the church, there are plenty of events for all ages to create lifelong friendships. An additional bonus is if you are just curious about what church is and want to slip into the back and check it out it's easy to do that as well because of the sizzle of the church. My family and me love Neighborhood Church. My kids ask to go to church every Sunday and are very enthusiastic about attending Sunday School at Neighborhood. They have several activities for High School age kids and young teens. We love the Worship team and pastoral staff at NCR. Pastor Bill present scripture and teachings to all of us in a very understandable and down to earth manner, not to mention that he keeps everyone laughing. The congregation is truly a family, and everyone is treated as such. We feel very fortunate to attend and learn God's word at Neighborhood Church. read more

The message was always good from the pastor. I always felt very alone because I could not make any connections. I first started seeking a church family when I moved to Redding back in 2014. I was drawn to the veterans group because I served in the military. The group leader was a MFT intern and I spoke with him about joining the group. He told others that I was looking to counsel people in the group. I never said this to him, why would I, I'm not a counselor. I was denied access to the group. I told two people about what happened and no one cared. After this I went back a few times but it felt awful. I will not go back to this church. It's very sad to me that anyone who professes to love God would behave this way. I was blocked on this churches Facebook site from writing this review. read more

Neighborhood Church is the real deal! Worship is awesome, energetic and Spirit led. Preaching is stellar and focus is on God's Grace rather than our attempts to be good enough. When I attended other churches in the past, I must admit that as much as I wanted to grow as a Christian and learn about the teachings of Christ, it was a constant struggle for me to set aside, or should I say, wake up for that hour of church service on Sundays. However, ever since I began attending Neighborhood Church a few years back, I now look forward to listening to the newest Sunday message from the church's wonderful pastor, Bill Giovannetti. Bill's sermons are humorous, understandable and relatable to everyday life. In all of his services, Bill demonstrates an immense knowledge and passion for God's words, teachings and love (as well as a passion for any Italian food and all things Chicago-ian). Neighborhood is a large and growing church, and the service may not be as personable as other smaller churches, but they offer many outreach groups and venues for people of all types, from young to old, single to married, gardeners to fishers, etc. The 10:45 am Sunday service is usually crowded so my family likes to go to the 9:00 am one, but the church offers many other times and worship locations as well. Visit their site to get a better picture of their mission, values, and resources that'll help strengthen your life with God. I'm only a young Christian but I already feel like I've grown and learned so much since I began attending Neighborhood. Don't worry, the atmosphere isn't suffocating or pressuring with intense Christians invading your space the moment you walk through the door. All the people I have met at the church so far are compassionate and friendly folk of the Redding community. The people of the church, including Pastor Bill, are people that are happily ready and open to talk to you about your hopes, dreams, passions, and troubles in life, and to, more importantly, help you discover and live the dream God set out for you. Several options for worship service.....Sat eve or 4 services on Sunday.My wife and I love the Sunday 9:30 service in the new sanctuary.......it's 1 hour long and you get great worship music and a great sermon and you are out of there in 1 hour-------it's the best!! Another option is the 11:15 service--- try the Acoustic service with Hillary...she has an incredible voice and usually plays the piano or organ!!! Pastor Bill is inspiring, entertaining, knowledgeable, Bible-based, punctual, organized, and most importantly, did I say..... inspiring? He communicates to me a message of love. I don't find him judgmental. I find him warm and embracing of all. I once belonged to Calvary Chapel in another city. I find this worship very similar to my old church. After years of searching for that perfect fit, I am glad to say that I have finally found the church for me and my family. The kids enjoy going and learning, and we enjoy the service in its entirety. We attend the Saturday evening service, which fits into our night-owl schedules perfectly! While I used to enjoy going to neighborhood before my son was old enough in my opinion, to attend the Sunday School classes, the last time we went I was not impressed at all. In fact I was really uneasy and very sad. This church has gotten entirely to big for it's own good. I took my son to the Sunday School class for his age group and you have to check them into a computer system where they print out a sticker with his name and a number and stick it on his back. While that is good so that when in the sanctuary if there is a problem your child's number will pop up on a digital screen, when I went to pick him up they asked me what number I was there for. I felt that he wasn't anything special, just a number. Also I don't think he really got anything out of the hour that he was there, which showed me that there wasn't any structure to the class, which is why he was there in the first place. If you want someplace that your children will actually learn something about church and why we are there in the first place I would keep looking. read more

After moving to Redding from San Diego County we visited several churches in the area but have found our home at Neighborhood. They have great worship, 'meat' sermons and an amazing Children's program for older kids! From our first visit there we have felt extremely welcome. The 11am service is huge but the volunteers go out of their way to help things run smoothly. They also have many other services to go to and an amazing website. i love being able to watch the sermons online. read more

Christmas at Neighborhood was really disappointing for me personally. Being blasted by loud music is not worshipful to me. Yeah, I'm old....but loud is not beautiful. I think we are teaching people not to sing ....as I looked around at the audience. O Holy Night was desecreated for me when the instruments blared. i don't like to complain because I have been in ministry since a teenager and I know that the leadership gets all the flack because you can't please all the people any of the time, but I was glad to get out of the building and have no desire to return for a Christmas program if that is repeated. Let the little kids do their sweet thing separately. Sing some of the old carols like you did, special music is geat, but don't blast the audience. Seek to bless listeners with your talents and a heart tuned to the Spirit to guide you in your choices. read more
