Dr. Pathic earns a 5.0 rating and one should be left after every patient visit, I believe.
I note that physician ratings include a staff component. Perhaps such a rating should be outside to the physician rating, as a less-than-optimal interaction with staff member(s) has no bearing on the competence and 'bed-side' manner of the person you went to see.
So, Dr. Pathak:
Very busy - Yes (Y) - a nine-month wait. Professional (Y), as numerous reviews indicate.
Timely - (Y) - we all want thoroughness, but seem to forget that those before us also wanted such treatment, as do those behind us. We are not Dr. P's only patient that day.
Thoroughness - (Y) - Dr. Pathak reviewed every symptom, those I named as well, as those I had not thought to mention.
Options - (Y) after every symptom, Dr. Pathic provided options and followed through with treatments I thought best.
Follow Up - (Y) Dr. P also provided the option for a follow up visit, if necessary. All that was needed was a chat with the front office assistant.
Front Office Assistant: She was welcoming and easy going. Just what one would wish for and expect.
Comment on a Non-Office Not-So-Welcoming Interaction:
The fellow in the underground parkade perhaps needs a refresher course in customer service. He was no where to be seen when I passed his cubical, so I proceeded to park the car. His admonishment, repeated several times (I was not seeing Dr. Pathak for a hearing problem), was not to be curbed with an "I'm sorry. you were no where to be seen". The bottom line was that two of us were now less than pleased.
Again, "Staff" does not refer to one's assessment of the physician.
