The regular seats are decent, can't complain. The 3D glasses are still €1.50 each, but it's optional if you already have your own. I love that they don't upcharge for mandatory glasses. If you're used to American movie theaters, I highly recommend looking at the concession stand menu beforehand. The options for what you can purchase is mind blowing. Around the middle of the movie there was a break in which you could stretch your legs, use the bathroom and resupply on snacks. Our movie was two hours so I definitely appreciated the intermission. Our movie had after-credits and the movie attendant was the one that came in and told everyone. I honestly would have never guessed, since I'm only used to after-credits in Marvel movies. They even dimmed the lights for the after-credit scene! All in all, worth every buck!

Then I found out it was an intermission since it was a long movie... odd.. in the US we just sit through the 3 hours lol they also have one heck of a snack bar option with tea and coffee in tea cups and stuff that you could bring into the theaters and there are little tables at your seats. So snazzy! Also you can reserve your seat online so you can guarantee a spot. American theaters need to step it up!

Since it has opened just recently in October, it makes a fresh impression, everything here is very clean and modern. The view from the cafe restaurant to outside the harbor is amazing.

I freaking love this place. I've been twice, once to see Minions (don't judge, haters) and most…read morerecently to see their "CineSneak" offer (more on that later). This theater is a little out of the way, but it's huge and shows almost every movie you can think of. They have the original English versions of all the movies they release, which is great for expats. So. CineSneak. Essentially, every Wednesday night the theater allows you to purchase 5 euro tickets. The catch is that you have no idea what the movie is going to be. Even the guy selling the tickets doesn't know! Trust me, I asked. It's always a new release though, so if you don't go to the theater often, there's no risk in seeing something twice. Last night we ended up watching this weird Christmas movie which wasn't fabulous, but a fun excursion on a weeknight. I will definitely be doing this again. (The only downside is that like most theaters, refreshments are insanely expensive. I just wanted a bottle of water and it cost 4.25, which is insanity. You can buy a beer there for the same price. I'll never understand overcharging for water.)

I really like Pathé cinemas, the selection on offer at even a relatively small cinema like Breda is…read moregood. The screens are mostly large and are rarely packed out so can be quite comfortable (despite the assigned seating). There are a few things wrong with the cinema though. Firstly, the Pathé unlimited card is hamstrung to prevent misuse, however this does cause the problem of preventing people from having a cinema day. Having used the UK equivalent for years this seems like a case of damaging all the legitimate users for the sake of a few bad ones. Also, almost every visit, the popcorn has gone stale. I don't know if this is because it's used over too long a period or if it's just how Pathé do it, but it becomes quite unappetising by the end. On the whole great for a casual trip, but maybe take your own snacks.
