You can actually get your beer in a glass here too which is a nice change. Usually they have a break in the film too so you can fill up or use the toilet. Since I have nothing to complain about and this is a nice new cinema I have to give it five stars. This area is also getting nicer with the Woodstone Pizza next door and a few other bars popping up close by. If you're ready for a night out, that should be a good combo. I have even heard they have events there and Wednesday seems to be ladies night, whatever that may entail.

Then I found out it was an intermission since it was a long movie... odd.. in the US we just sit through the 3 hours lol they also have one heck of a snack bar option with tea and coffee in tea cups and stuff that you could bring into the theaters and there are little tables at your seats. I came here because they offer €6 movies every Tuesday (as far as I can tell, it's for any movie…read moreincluding 3D movies) and the VIP seats cost €8.20 (they certainly look fancier). The regular seats are decent, can't complain. The 3D glasses are still €1.50 each, but it's optional if you already have your own. I love that they don't upcharge for mandatory glasses. If you're used to American movie theaters, I highly recommend looking at the concession stand menu beforehand. The options for what you can purchase is mind blowing. Around the middle of the movie there was a break in which you could stretch your legs, use the bathroom and resupply on snacks. Our movie was two hours so I definitely appreciated the intermission. Our movie had after-credits and the movie attendant was the one that came in and told everyone. I honestly would have never guessed, since I'm only used to after-credits in Marvel movies. They even dimmed the lights for the after-credit scene! All in all, worth every buck!

This little gem of a cinema is so charming I refuse to attend any other cinemas (to my husbands…read moreannoyance). The associated Charlie's café and bar located in the same old and beautiful building makes it easy to meet up a couple of hours before or after a movie to do some catching up (awing or ohing at the movie is also an option). The salons are fresh and big and the staff usually pleasant. Coming from Sweden I could never approve of the slim candy selection at any cinemas outside of Sweden's wide range but it's always fresh and actually I'm getting used to it. And oh, the salty popcorn is the best (but for my life I cannot understand sweet popcorn?). Husband and I usually are alone at this cinema (or so it feels anyway) which is a plus, it feels like a nice and quite building making it a full on pleasant experience. And oh! Best thing that happened to me is the Pathé unlimited, giving up 20 euros a month and I can hit the cinemas as often as I want, great!

Cinerama Filmtheater is the oldest running cinema in Rotterdam and has the grandeur of those days way back. Plush red velvet all over, proper popcorn and a well equipped bar. A lovely place to enjoy a few refreshments before entering that dim and sparsely lit room. A big plus is the regular events they organise with local partners. Beer&Burgers, Eye Tunes, Ladies nights and Night of Cinerama, to name but a few. The selection of movies is quite eclectic, blockbusters and art house pictures mixed with a few odd choices. Be sure to see what's on every now and then. I've also heard they host some great parties during the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Don't mention the snogging. My favourite thing about this movie theatre was the selection of drinks and snacks that were available. I'm used to the Pathé where the most exciting thing on offer is a bottle of Grolsch, but at Wolff they have actual spirits and wine and you can even get a glass of port to take into the movie with you! The coffee is freshly made with a real espresso machine, not a push button automaat. You also get served in real glasses that you take into the theatre with you, and the arms between the chairs a large and wooden to act as mini tables. Quite honestly, it's worth a repeat visit just for this! Otherwise it's a pretty run of the mill cinema - multiple screens, good variety of showtimes. It's an independent chain so in addition to the big commercial releases they also show much more smaller independent films.

I visit a lot of cinema's like Pathé, Kinepolis and more but VUE is my favourite. The decoration, foods and snacks, clean feeling of hygiene and the Dolby Cinema area's are making it perfect for me.
