I got very rare vintage mechanical parts from Little Irene's shop as well. I could not find these parts anywhere online and am very happy to have these vintage pieces now. Mechanical vintage machines are not too popular nowadays so it's hard to find a shop who has parts and knowledge. Little Irene's has plenty of knowledge and parts! Manual operations on fully mechanical vintage sewing machines saves me lots of time and money from changing out broken needles to perform sewing on heavy material without needing to get an industrial machine, for which I have no space.. And let's not even mention weeks long power outage during hurricane season, when mechanical machines come in so handy. I am happy Little Irene's restored these machines and keeps them in service. Definitely, this is the most reliable and resourceful sewing machine shop!!!

After clearing a spot, we were left by the associate to fend for ourselves going through mats and frames. If we hadn't been through the process before, we'd have been lost as he offered no assistance. While the price wasn't too bad, we were not comfortable with the lack of customer service and did not feel confident the framing would be well done so we left without purchasing anything. This store is surprisingly nice- it's well stocked and very clean. I have been to other Michael's locations that have definitely not been this way. I do wish some of their home and holiday stuff was a bit lower priced, but I do think overall a lot of their pricing isn't too crazy. As a whole I'd say they're a lot more reasonable than Hobby Lobby. I also like that even though it's the same type of craft store as Hobby Lobby they still sell noticeably different items, whether it's decor, art materials or other. Even if you didn't buy anything, walking around the store is a great way to get inspiration for how to decorate or DIY projects to do. They also have super good post-holiday sales and other sales if you're patient enough and keep and eye out. That's when you can get really great deals. Each has the prices labeled on the bottom. You choose one, take a seat, choose your paints, and then spend several hours absorbed into art! It takes awhile because you have to do multiple layers of paint to make the colors show up properly. This place is neat because it's connected to a little cafe. They have an iPad at the connecting doorway so you can order drinks or snacks delivered while you work. We didn't know about that so we didn't do much with it this time but we definitely would in the future!
