Good chicken wings! [Leonberg, Germany]…read more Came here for dinner, a cozy and modest interior with table seating both indoor and outdoor. This is a counter service restaurant so you walk up to the register to place your order. The menu is all in German so I needed to use Google Translate for the description. I was hoping to see Pad Se Ew on the menu but they did not offer it. I ordered my next favorite instead which was chicken wings LoL! We also ordered Fried Rice with Prawns. They served our food to our table. Everything was delicious. Loved the wings with the chili sauce. The photo I posted was for 2 orders. We paid at the register counter after our dinner. Review #4058

Steak cooked on a hot stone [Stuttgart, Germany]…read more Took the train to Stuttgart City Center. The restaurant is located in the central district near the commercial and cultural core of the city. It was busy with many diners opting dining in the huge outdoor patio shaded by huge umbrellas. We chose to dine indoors which was nice because of the openness of the patio and indoor dining. We were handed the lunch menu and were only available in German. I must say the prices even in Euro was, dare I say... pleasantly reasonable! We each ordered an Argentinisches Huftsteak (Google Translation: Argentinian hoof steak). My 200 grams (roughly 7.05-oz) steak was 16.90 € ($19.28). The experience was the best. I've never had to cook steak over a hot stone before. When the hot stone was getting cool before consuming all meat you can request for a replacement. Customer service was great especially when we were one of the few who chose to dine indoors. We weren't forgotten. The steak was served with House Fries and came with 3 dips: Barbecue, Meerrettich (Horseradish), and Chimichurri. No soda refills. The bar at the entrance, which is over seven meters long (that's at least 23-ft), was an impressive eye-catcher. 5-Star experience at Abacco's Steakhouse! Review #4061

But if you do like the occasional sweet and sour chicken or if somebody who's tagging along is unsure if their palate can take the Sichuan spices, you can even go for these. Even their non-authentic asian food tastes better than anywhere else in town (at least the ones I tasted). That said, my favourite are their Sichuan pepper dishes. Amazing - getting the craving, just thinking about it. Meanwhile the restaurant seems to be pretty well known, especially in the chinese community, because a lot of asians come to enjoy their meal here, which for me is a pretty darn good indication for authentic food. A bit of a let down is the space. It still got it's original German Bierkneipe from the 90's feel to it. The tenants seem to not be allowed to alter it enough (was the same with the Korean place before it). So it could be cosier, but they did their best. So don't be afraid if it doesn't look the way you would expect. Check the photos, and definitely try it out. Huge recommendation!

Steakhouse! [Stuttgart, Germany]…read more Craving for steak we chose to dine in this steakhouse located in Stuttgart. We stopped by for lunch. Block House is situated in a central location. Interior is roomy with a cozy ambience and also an outdoor terrace seating. A good place to dine after a shopping spree from many nearby shops. We each ordered steak. The steak was juicy and tender and came with a side of crisp salad. I had the Hereford Rib-eye (250g = 8.82 oz). The meat was well marbled with a small eye of fat. Service was great and we were well taken care of. Not my favorite steakhouse here but is a good option for dining in. Review #4077
