Never before have I seen a shop stock such an array of items - old television sets, baths, Edwardian furniture, rugs, cats, buses, trains...
This is of course an extensive stockist of dollshouses and model railway equipment, for all your hobby needs! I used to go in here when I was wee and treat it like I treat B & Q now - I bought many a beautiful ceramic bathtub from here, not to mention the odd Indian rug.
It's nice to see it hasn't changed in 20 years. Not only can you buy some dolls house equipment that looks like it's been teleported straight from the 60s (or, more likely bought in from Ebay) there is a plethora of old and new model cars, railways and just about everything you need from this arena. Browsing this shop is like looking at the world in miniature, some of the toy furniture is so accurate it looks like it's made to scale!
As much as this shop would be entertaining for youngsters it's great for adults, too, in particular diehard diecast collectors. It could almost act like a dollhouse museum!
It's comforting to see that somewhere like this still exists in habitual reality and hasn't been lost to computer games and the internet generation. read more
