This is the 3rd time I've been back to Panaderia Rosetta for a guayaba roll (guava roll). I also tried the maíz concha and the pan de muerto this last time--both were delicious. I would easily order the concha de maíz and the guava roll next time around no questions asked. They are both delicious and very different from each other. For foreigners, especially coming from the US, the prices are very fair given the quality and notoriety of the bakery. We're so used to getting ripped off at coffee shops in the states. By Mexican standards, it's expensive and definitely a treat. Tourist trap or not, it's delicious and a must if you're visiting CDMX.

The guava did have a really good strong flavor which can be hard to find for guava which was well balanced with what I was assuming was a cream cheese base. The pan de muerto wasn't as good as some others I've tried. Would go for the guava pastry but not sure you need to wait too long in line for anything else.

We tried three different pastries: a plantain pudding pastry, a fruity meringue pastry, and a very unique peanut butter and chapulines cruffin. All were excellent. My only piece of constructive feedback is regarding the payment process. We had to pay for the pastries separately from the coffee, which made the experience less smooth.
