Came here on a weekend on a whim. Was not aware there was a place making fresh pasta in this place. Ordered the chicken Alfredo. Fresh perfectly cooked pasta with a nice Alfredo sauce and super crispy chicken on top. It's rare to find a small business turning out quality like this at reasonable prices. I've head lower quality for more money at chain restaurants. There are other place within this food hall but this one was a pleasant surprise. Recommend read more

Excellent and delicious food! We come to River Street often. We were here this past weekend. The person who helped me this time was great and super helpful accommodating my vegan needs. He gave me several choices that he could make and the pasta turned out delicious! It's a food court style venue, so you place your order, wait for it and then find a place to sit. Very casual and lively atmosphere. read more

Both the fettuccine Alfredo and cheese ravioli were delicious and you can tell the noodles and sauces were made fresh. My brother had the chicken fettuccine and didn't like the chicken as much, but the noodles and sauces were good read more

Ordered the chicken parm for take out. It was really just soggy breaded chicken in a dish of sauce and melted cheese. It was good, but not great. The chicken should be crispy. The sauce and cheese was great, but maybe serve that in the side so the chicken stays crispy. read more

Food: 5/5 - been missing homemade pasta that tastes like it's from Italy. Little shop in the San Juan Riverside Marketplace! They had so many options and we wanted to try a few different things. The gentleman recommended gnocchi with vodka sauce, which I don't think I would have ever tried. But wow, was it good. Pillowy soft gnocchi, but ton soft delicious sauce Service: 5/5 - takeaway food that came out quick and piping hot Ambiance: 5/5 - cool little marketplace. Really enjoyed the vibes, open concept with several stands for food. Ample seating too. read more

This is such a gem! We have been back twice already in just one span of 7 days. It is that good. They are located inside the River Street Marketplace in the big building with multiple food stalls. The first visit I tried the ravioli with asparagus. And I took pappardelle with their vodka sauce to go. The second time I came with the family, and we tried the rigatoni with vodka sauce, the chicken meatballs, and the kids fusili pasta with butter. They were, unfortunately, out of the beets and carrots so I didn't get to order the insalata I was craving. Hopefully next time they will have the ingredients they need to make the salad on their menu. The meatballs were good but I would have hoped for more/larger quantity for that price so wouldn't get it again. Definitely realized that the most economical way is to get the fresh pasta to go with their sauce. That was enough for all 4 of us to eat plus have leftovers. Their cooked pastas are the perfect size for two people to share $12-15. The kids pasta is a great deal $5, and they polished it off easily. They loved the shape and have asked already for us to get it again. So excited this place has opened and is close by. We will probably be getting it once a week. read more

First time visiting this area in SJC. Very nice outdoor area. Tried Pastalia for a quick dinner. We ordered the - arugula and prosciutto flat bread - it was the right flavoring but i wish it was cooked longer. The bottom of the pizza didn't get crispy and the cheese wasn't fully melted. - kids butter noodles - more pasta water than butter but it was decent - lemon ricotta raviolis - very decadent and the sauce was a heavy cream. Good flavor but could only eat very little. Overall portions were good for the price and there were a lot of options. Recommend for an easy, quick dinner in the area. read more

I scarfed down my pasta before I got to take a picture because I was so dang hungry. This was one of the few popping places here and I am so happy I got some pasta from here! Pasta is made fresh and you can customize the sauce and pasta you want. It doesn't look like much in the to-go container, but you'll get full off the serving of pasta! Flavors are amazing. There is a bit of a wait to order and get your food (buzzer system), but staff is so friendly. In addition to pasta, they also have pizza (more like flatbread). Seating is outdoors since it's part of River Street Marketplace. You'll have to pay for parking! read more

I can confidently say that Pastalia offers the highest quality Italian food in the river street marketplace; with so many great food options here at river street in San Juan that's saying a lot !! The pasta was insanely fresh! This was the only food my kids would eat and they LOVED it! I got the pizza and it was delicious. It had a little kick to it which I loved. Food was gross! Mushy pasta is never ok! I had fettuccine Alfredo- ew. Service was unfriendly at best. Ambiance? lol. Basically an airport 'restaurant' experience. Totally sucked. $48 for two pasta entrees- no salad, no bread- I got water, husband got pellagrino. Never again. read more

It's a long wait, but it will be hot and very yummy! And the beauty of it is choosing you pasta, then your sauce and any add ons! That is if you prefer to customize otherwise they have traditional orders. We got the lemon ricotta ravioli green beans, am tempted to get just the green beans it was so good! Then an Oder of pasta with vodka sauce. Over the top delicious. I can't wait to go back! read more

So excited that my favorite pasta maker opened a restaurant!! We've been buying Mr. DoValle's pasta for years at the farmers market and finally got the chance to eat the pasta cooked at his restaurant today! His pasta is the best pasta I've had in Southern California, and I often buy it to gift to family. Today, we tried the Cacio e pepe, puttanesca, and calabrese ?piadina (like a pizza). All the food was delicious, and we especially liked the cacio e pepe. Also wanted to mention that everything was well-priced since I'm used to paying $20-$30 for pasta dishes. Will definitely go back in the future! read more

I will start this bad review off with saying- please look at my profile, I give 5 star reviews out left and right. I am the least picky person, I love dining out, have been in the service industry my entire life. However, this is a review I'd LOVE to edit if the problem is corrected. I went and ordered a kids meal on Friday. Service was fine, however a giant black hair in the meatball. I come back on Monday with tons of friends. We all order food, we even tip. We patiently walk around the food court waiting for our food. The rude guy working at 7pm on Monday 6/15 scolded my friend who was trying the place out for the first time and said "YOURS ISNT READY YET". She calmly said "oh? No worries, just walking around waiting..." what else was she supposed to do? So 10 minutes later she comes back and kindly asked him (the worker) "hey, for XXX?" Because there was food sitting on the counter. He said "i don't know, look at the name on the ticket". I mean how rude, she was just trying not to reach over other people's meals. He should have been happy to help. Unfortunately, we end up opening our meals and yet again, a hair in the meatballs. Then another, then a THIRD hair. I wish I was joking. I really swear this happened. I was gagging and threw our food out. I don't know if the guy was messing with us or if maybe someone cooking is just losing hair or not wearing a net. Again, I am coming from the service industry. Have never seen this happen. Please pastalia, you make great food, give jobs to people who deserve them and take pride in cleanliness and integrity! Would be happy to edit review but people need to know.... Wasted my $ read more

Tried Pastilia for the first time this weekend. I love all the options they have and I especially love the 'create your own' pasta with various pasta, meat and sauce options! I got the butternut squash and brown butter sage ravioli. It was pretty good. The service was fast too! It was a great option if you're looking for a quick, and yummy bite! read more

I'm kind of neutral on Italian food in general but this place makes me a fan. Insane quality, flavors are out of this world. It's the only Italian food I will eat and I've tried everyone in the area. Can't say enough good things. Order and enjoy!! read more

I waited over two hours for my online order with no updates or communication. The staff member on call showed little concern for resolving the issue and only took action after I repeatedly brought up my concerns. To make matters worse, my call was declined instead of being answered. The level of customer service was unacceptable and came across as careless, dismissive, and unprofessional. It was clear that basic responsibilities were not being handled properly, and customers should not have to chase down staff just to receive assistance. The lack of urgency, communication, and accountability reflects poorly on the business and made for a very frustrating experience. read more

10++ Incredible Experience at Pastalia! As a native New Yorker and Italian, I've had my fair share of great pizza, but nothing--and I mean nothing--compares to what I had at Pastalia today. My mom, my son, and I enjoyed an unforgettable lunch, and I have to say, this place is beyond exceptional. I ordered the prosciutto pizza, and my son had the pepperoni--both were out of this world. The bread, the cheese, the buffalo mozzarella, the prosciutto--every single bite was perfection. It's hard to put into words just how phenomenal this meal was. If you're looking for top-tier Italian cuisine and a pizza experience like no other, Pastalia is a must-visit. This is a solid 10+++ in my book. I'll be back, and I highly recommend you check them out, too! read more

The best service! These pasta and pizzas are amazing. They even sell the pasta by the pound and make them right there in this little kiosk. So I really wanted to try this from the 5 stars. It was a bit disappointing. The marinara was bland. Pasta noodles were good. I ordered a side of the parmigiana crusted chicken and it was very dry. I thought it would come with sauce but did not. We also got the chicken and beef meatballs that were decent. Our granddaughter had the vodka sauce and liked it. I will have to try something different if I go back. read more

With Ben twice now and it's certainly our favorite cacio e pepe around. The pasta and the sauces are tremendous. You can taste the quality compared to most Italian places in the area.
