Super chill and informative pasta making class. The instructor, Melissa, was extremely warm and welcoming. It was super organized and well planned out. At the end of the pasta making class, we even got a chance to eat the pasta! We didn't get to cook the pasta or the salad. I left the class with a box of fresh pasta. I made it when I got home and it was so delicious. I would HIGHlY recommend this class to you. It was so much fun!!!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!…read more I'm based in California and wanted to gift a wedding cake to my cousin who was getting married in Molalla , Oregon. I found The Cake Room on Yelp and reached out--and from the very beginning, Leslie was nothing short of incredible. Everything was handled entirely via text, and yet the process felt so smooth, easy, and incredibly personal. Out of all the bakeries I contacted, Leslie was the only one who responded promptly, honestly, and with true professionalism. That alone gave me confidence, but her warmth and attention to detail made the experience even more special. She walked me through everything with patience and clarity, offering ideas and suggestions that really helped bring my vision to life--even from hundreds of miles away. I never once felt stressed or uncertain. Leslie took care of it all seamlessly. And when it came to the cake itself--it was beyond perfect. Absolutely stunning in design and unbelievably delicious. My cousin and their guests were blown away. It was a true highlight of the wedding! Leslie is a rare gem: kind, communicative, reliable, and extremely talented. I can't thank her enough for making this such a joyful and effortless experience. If you're lucky enough to be local to Beaverton--don't think twice. The Cake Room is it. Thank you, Leslie, for everything. You made this gift feel just as special to give as it was to receive. Leslie offered to deliver and cut the cake for a small fee.

We…read moreappreciated how easy communication with Jojo the owner was and the online booking made it super easy and straightforward. One of the main reasons we wanted to do a party here was that there was a party room and we loved the idea of each child getting to decorate their own cake. We had 11 kids at her party and half got fetti flavor cakes to decorate and the other half had chocolate. They also offer a vegan chocolate option and a gluten sensitive fetti option with no up-charge. The party host was awesome in explaining the process and keeping the kids engaged. We opted to start with apron decorating ($3 per child) for the first 15-20 mins. We also selected for there to be fresh popcorn popped for the kids to eat. All decorators were give a cake, white frosting, 2 other frosting colors (preselected by the birthday girl), 2 fondant colors (preselected by the birthday girl) and 2 sprinkle options (preselected by the birthday girl). All the kids had a blast decorating their cakes. Afterwards the kids had a lot of fun doing photo sessions with the picture booth in the party room. All pictures were sent via a link to me and I was able to share with all the parents post party. We opted to bring in pizza from Costco for the kids which worked out great since it's so close by. I sent a picture of an example of a cake that my daughter liked and Jojo nailed the design. All kids went home with an apron and a custom cake they designed. The party host was great at making sure everyone got a cake box with their name on it. I can't say enough great things about the party at Cake Hoopla. I would highly recommend having your kid's birthday party there.

Can I say I am a fan??? This was our first visit trying out anything with the Proletariat…read moreButchery. Needless to say, the last Friday of the month will be now on my calendar for Burger night. We arrived in the rain, it is November in Portland. So the first thing I noticed while waiting In the line outside in the rain, was everyone was super nice and asked if I had attended before. When I said no, folks said I would not be disappointed. Additionally, there was a nice older gentlemen who independently (on Halloween) was walking down the line and offering candy. Thanks for the mini snickers bite! We had a group of 7 of us last evening as we discussed "would this be worth it" as we slowly inched our way to the cashier to place our order. It is important to note, however, that while waiting in line the butcher shop walked the line (often starting at the end which was super considerate) offering slices of grilled sausages and probably some of the best toasted bread I have had. We made it - and placed our order for two burgers and potato salad. While waiting we checked out the shop - and while small, it is cozy and I can see why their classes and dinners draw in folks. They also had wine, beer and other items for sale to drink as well as a lovely self of bottles of wine. The BURGER!!! OMG - Heck yes!!!! Did I mention at the beginning I will be waiting in line on the last Friday of every month. I believe it was a brioche roll, garlic aoli, pickles and chopped onion with the best fresh, grilled on a fire hamburger patty I have had. Oh - and I am a total food snob. I can say this - those were big burgers and two of the guys in our group went back and ordered a second burger to eat. My husband also then raided their freezer for meats for us to bring home and prep ourselves. One of those was a beautiful Tomahawk and I cannot wait to cook it to perfection. I promise I will "not F it up." While I don't want the lines to get longer, I cannot deny my role as a Yelp Elite is to proactively share great experiences for others. So I kindly do this although this is one that I would prefer to keep a secret. Next up - I am signing up for classes!!! It's been a while since my time in CA where I learned to butcher a pig and make sausage. I saw that Proletariat Butchery offer bacon making classes. SCORE!!!

This was one of the best burgers I've ever had the chance of devouring. They have a process of cooking about 10 burgers at a time so be patient. The burger is worth the time. However we found a Tomahawk, some sausage and they were able to grab us some hamburger patties from the refrigerator. Great, friendly and helpful staff. I will be back again and again.
