She approached me and pointed her finger at me, speaking to me in a rude and disrespectful manner in front of many people, telling me that I couldn't be there. When I tried to explain that I was only speaking briefly with my mother about some missing documents, she threatened me by mentioning my visa status and said she would call the police. I understand that there are rules to follow, and if it wasn't my appointment day, I respect that. However, the issue is the way she spoke to me and treated me, it was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Their tracking system has completely broken down for my order, and it is quite impossible to reach customer support through email, online chat, or phone (I suspect all of these are just an empty front). The only saving grace is that the state department cashed my check (two weeks after I started the process), so at least it appears to have reached the destination. Whether I will get my new passport in time for my trip is another matter... I'm utterly baffled by the good reviews here an elsewhere, they were the reason I was mislead.
