A couple of months ago Lubao International Balloon Festival held a press conference over at Passion Restaurant to invite everyone to the upcoming festivities. The press conference was set to start at around 2pm so naturally I thought they'd only serve snacks.
The food arrived one by one and when the 5th dish arrived, we thought it wouldn't stop.
Steamed Siomai Dumpling
Fresh Spinach Dumpling
Barbecue Combination
Pecking Duck
Shredded Abalone and Dried Seafood Soup
Stir Fried Fresh Scallop in X.O. Sauce
Steamed Garlic Prawns with Golden Mushroom
Wok Fried Beef with Black Pepper and Broccoli
Deep Fried Lapu Lapu in Pomelo Sauce
Shanghai Fried Rice
Fruit Platter
The dumplings were the first ones at our table and we were already pleased with it, like if it was the only thing they served, it would've been all good.
The favourites and the reason for my next visit would have to be: BBQ Combination, Stir Fried Fresh Scallop in X.O. Sauce, Deep Fried Lapu Lapu in Pomelo Sauce and Shanghai Fried Rice.
The Deep Fried Lapu Lapu was divine. The outside was so crispy that you'd think the meat inside would be chewy or dry but it wasn't, it was as fresh as the day they caught it. And combine it with the tangy pomelo sauce and the sweet pomelo fruit and you've got yourself a dish that's hard to forget.
The food presentation is pretty, it's photo-op worthy. And the service is good too!
Check out the menu for the list of prices and don't worry! The prices are definitely reasonable.
