I have had a storage unit here for a little over half a year and each day I visit, I am sadly…read moredisappointed more and more. The customer service is extremely lacking and any time I go into the front office it smells severely of smoke and usually takes 10 minutes+ to get assistance. Almost every time I attempt to visit my unit, they have a piece of equipment blocking the door so it cannot even be opened. I have called the manager / front desk multiple times regarding this ADA non-compliance, and each time she acts annoyed and does nothing (and the non-compliance continues after every visit). I will be moving storage units soon and I look forward to nothing more. I also have a storage unit in SLO (and have had several other storage units in the past since we have moved a lot) so I have something to compare to, and El Camino Storage is by far the worst I have experienced thus far. If you're looking for a storage unit, I would highly, highly recommend going elsewhere!!

In a…read morecurrent world of no-shows, unreturned calls, or less than promised... this company restores our faith and joy! We've had the pleasure to have Omeed come out and help us on several occasions to a property we purchased that had...ummm...lots of leftovers! From my very first call and left message, my call was returned so quickly. Omeed wanted to come out and survey "the damage" and give us a quote. He was so warm, friendly, knowledgeable, AND professional. He followed-through with EVERY detail and update. Really...this company is AMAZING and I recommend North County Junk Removal SO often with pleasure. When we were cleaning up and repairing a guest rental, Omeed came out and surveyed all of the steps and just handled it. He works SO hard and with hustle. He was even conscientious enough to notice a couple of items to drive over to the NCIS Thrift place as they would clean up and repair the items and sell them in their thrift store (vs just taking it to the landfill). On Nextdoor (.com), neighbors share what a pleasure he is to work with, how much he gives to our community, and what an honorable, honest, good guy he is... every word is true. As unpleasant as trash & junk are, Omeed & North County has made getting rid of it a gift! (his part of it is a gift!) His company has cleared out all kinds of "ugh" and we feel so fortunate to know we can contact him with trust and gratitude. ***He even works holidays if that's what you need*** Good guy. Call him.

Guy told me ups guy only comes once a week, if at all and store had boxes everywhere waiting several days to be picked up. So, even if I package and print my own label/ they won't take UPS packages. This place is a total fail. I was in previous shipping store 2-3 times a week for my business, at this same location. Now, they're worthless for my needs. We ship should change their name to No ship, and their motto should be; "Take your business elsewhere" ... or better- they could change the name to We Shit , cuz they're useless.

I had a 2 package's that were time sensitive with a preprinted labels for Fedex. I went to this…read morelocation because I found it on the Fedex website as an authorized shipper. The final day I could ship them was on a Monday. So I dropped them off the Friday before at about 5pm ish. I was told to "Just leave them on the counter." I placed them on the counter and asked for a receipt. I was told, "If you want a receipt, you can take a picture." I found this odd, but I took the picture. On Monday morning there was still no record via the Fedex tracking website. So I contacted the receiving party to inform them what was going on. Later that evening it finally showed on the Fedex tracking website. This was my second time with less than stellar customer service at this location, thus prompting this review. Their lack of communication is frustrating. Leaving $700 dollars of merchandise without getting a receipt is unacceptable. I was stuck leaving it there because of my timeframe, but I will not use this place again.
