Wow! Showed up for dinner on New Year's Eve around 6 (thinking it was a little early), and Sammy's…read morewas packed. Joined the queue and got in faster than expected- they had things rolling. Awesome friendly service, drinks and food came out fast considering how busy they were, and WOW on the burger... thick, perfectly cooked, and tons of flavor - best burger I've eaten all year (and probably longer)! The salmon sandwich and the meatballs looked incredible, but nobody wanted to share! We were too full for dessert so that will have to be where we start next time!

I work in the restaurant industry, so I really appreciate good service and I always tip well, and I take reviews seriously. We confirmed ahead of time that Sammy's could seat our party of ten -- they said "just come." On top of that, their Google profile said they were animal friendly, so I assumed my service animal would be well received. When we arrived with most of our group and the rest just minutes away, we were immediately seated. But then things fell apart. After being seated, we were told we shouldn't have been seated until our full party arrived -- despite the staff being the ones who seated us. When we asked if Emilia wanted us to stand back up and wait in the lobby, she said no, don't worry about it. Yet we felt like a burden the entire meal. The staff seemed frustrated with us rather than accommodating. To make matters worse, my chicken parm -- which they tout as their most famous dish -- arrived cold and watery. I ended up replacing it with the kids' chicken nuggets, which ironically tasted far better. The biggest issue was our server, Emilia. She repeatedly shamed me for having my service animal -- a trained epilepsy detection dog who was quiet, well-behaved, and doing exactly what he's trained to do: staying by my side. I was stunned and humiliated. On top of all that, they refused to split the check for a party of ten -- a completely standard request. When I asked to speak with a manager, Emilia said they weren't available and that she would be talking to them about my service animal. Management, please reach out if you want to make this right. I felt singled out and humiliated. I won't be back, and I'd encourage anyone with a service animal to think twice before dining here.

As expected, the steak was excellent and cooked to a perfect medium rare as ordered. Served with fries, this dish was substantive enough to share between the two of us as a light meal. Unfortunately, our request for no red onion was either not conveyed by our server or disregarded by the kitchen - not a big deal in and of itself but I was a bit surprised when our server made no attempt to rectify the error beyond simply saying "sorry." I ended up having to pick the onions off, so am docking a star for that!

We ordered a Caesar salad which was good romaine lettuce, tomatoes, parmesan cheese and creamy Caesar dressing with good flavor. 4/5 $17 Garden salad with lettuce, corn, bacon, walnuts, dried cherries and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing, I call it a trail mix salad, but really good with a little crunch. 4/5 $18 Pool side was awesome little overcast that cooled it down to a perfect 83 degrees. #spoiled #goodlife

They checked on us frequently and always made sure our water was filled. Environment: 8.5/10 What makes Wildfire Smokehaus so special is that it is located inside the Zermatt resort. The location and environment feel like an escape from reality. Menu: 8/10 For a smokehouse they have everything you could want and more. They even had some local specialties like funeral potatoes on the menu to make it feel personable to utah! They had nearly ever side dish imaginable-- except for corn and I love a good side of corn with my bbq Price: 7/10 The servings are really big, but we do feel it's on the pricier end. But the environment and location makes the price worth it! Taste: 7.5/10 We felt that a lot of the meats were dry except for the Ribs. We were also obsessed with the cornbread. The cornbread could've been a dessert it was so sweet, most, and flavorful. We LOVED it. Overall: 8/10

They operate like a real family, not in the toxic "we're all family here" way, but in a warm, supportive, actually-enjoyable-to-witness way. You can feel it the moment you walk in. Add to that a rustic, cozy ambiance that's honestly a 20/10, and you're already off to an incredible start. I ordered the Shakshuka, and it was phenomenal. The eggs were cooked perfectly, which is no small feat, showing real expertise in the kitchen. Comforting, balanced, and clearly made with care. We split the green apple and blue cheese salad, which was good, though I've had better. If the dressing were just a bit sweeter and more seasoned, it would really hit its stride. Adding more caramelized pecans and a bit more chopped green apple would give it that final kick it needs. Still enjoyable, just shy of great. The vegan lentil chili was so close to being one of the best I've ever had. The combination of vegetables and lentils was absolutely spot-on, it just needed a touch more seasoning for my taste. A small salt/sugar balance would take it over the top. The corn muffin served alongside was good as well, but could also benefit from a little seasoning. All things considered, this place is a 10/10 for Park City dining. Incredible atmosphere, outstanding service, and food that's thoughtful, skillfully prepared, and clearly made with heart. I'll absolutely be back. TLDR Ambiance: 20/10 Staff Friendliness and Eagerness to share recommendations: 30/10 Shakshuka: 12/10 Vegan Lentil Chili: 7/10 Green Apple and Blue Cheese Salad: 7/10
