Pasitos is not just a daycare or summer camp...Pasitos is home for me.  Pasitos is home for my family.  When we moved to the South Bay in 2018, my daughter wasn't even 2 years old.  It was always my plan to make my daughter bilingual, and as I sit here today that dream has been realized.  My daughter flourished there and connected with every single Maestra there.  My daughter is now in 3rd grade and I make sure that she returns there every summer to be a part of the activities and culture.  To this day, I am still friends with all of the Maestras and they will continue to be a part of my extended family here in California.  I could not recommend Pasitos enough.  If I ever had a 2nd child, I would not hesitate to send him/her there.  I love that place. read more

Our kid has been going to Pasitos since he was 3 and now goes for after-school care and frequently attends school break camps. The staff is kind and patient. They encourage hands on learning and the Spanish immersion is so wonderful because we do not speak Spanish at home and this is so authentic. I'm so grateful we found Pasitos! We wanted a bilingual preschool that would help us foster Spanish in our toddler. We speak Spanish at home but it was so important for us that he speaks at preschool as well. We love that they practice positive discipline at school and they give an annual workshop for parents on positive discipline. My son loves going to Pasitos and ever since we started attending I noticed his vocabulary continues to increase. We struggled before Pasitos to get him to use his words. All the teachers at Pasitos and staff are extremely passionate, patient, creative, and speak fluent Spanish. My son has been attending Pasitos School Central since two-years-old and I am so happy that he has had the opportunity to attend. He is 4 now and the teachers are like part of the family. Learning a second language is SO helpful for children's growth and development. As a Speech-language pathologist, I know the importance of language development at a young age. Unfortunately, I am not fluent in Spanish, so I knew getting my child involved in a program such as Pasitos was key. I am a so thankful that Maestra Tami started this program and she has been able to find teachers who know how to immerse the students in Spanish and love what they do. The social-emotional learning the children receive was also why I chose Pasitos. Workshops on Positive Discipline are included in enrollment and I learned so much. Even though I took the classes previously, I am participating in the Zoom classes as a refresher. We have also attended some of the online learning and signed up for the at-home activities. We love Pasitos! Our son didn't speak any when he first started at Pasitos at age 3.5. Within weeks he was using simple phrases and comprehending complex sentences. All the Maestras and staff are so wonderful and supportive. Most importantly, since attending Pasitos his love for school has grown tremendously. Our family loves Pasitos! I have so many good things to say about this school. We have three boys, ages 9, 5 and 2.5 and all three started in the Young Explorer's program at 2 years old. Our boys have been encouraged to be themselves as they play and learn. We appreciate the play-based learning and how the maestros empower the children to make choices and do things for themselves (like washing hands, getting their lunches, putting away their food and utensils, cleaning up after playing). The maestros also are very present with the children and really help them to learn how to talk through things. When we have experienced some challenges, like our kids having a hard time saying good-bye to us at drop off, the maestras help us think of ways to help support our kids. The staff nurtures and shows kindness and love to our kids. And even now, they ask how my oldest is doing. They really get to know our boys and because of that, really do a great job caring for them and teaching them. I love that the children are encouraged to explore and be curious. My 5 year old helps prepare snacks and he is so proud of himself for learning how to cut fruits and veggies. Thank you Maestras Vero and Claudia for giving him that opportunity to learn! When our 2 year old had a hard time adjusting to preschool, the staff worked closely with us and after a few months of helpful transition steps, he is now so much more comfortable. Pasitos also holds summer camps and our oldest loves going to them. I was that nervous first time mom who had a really hard time leaving her child with "strangers" and after 6 years and 3 kids, I fully trust the staff at Pasitos to care for my kids! We chose Pasitos because it was a Spanish immersion school but we have received so much more than just the Spanish language support! We love Pasitos!!! read more

We have loved our experience at Pasitos. My son graduated last year after attending for three years, and my daughter is in her second year. There are many aspects of Pasitos we really enjoy, most importantly that quality and caring education my children have received. We also appreciate their philosophy of discipline (positive discipline), organic snacks and focus on outdoor play. It's amazing how mainly Spanish speaking children and mainly English speaking children understand and learn from their maestras and each other. Our son started at Pasitos when he was 2.5 and I've loved our experience ever since. Now he attends along with his little sister. He could've gone to TK but I adore pasitos and wanted to keep him there instead of FREE TK! Tammi has infused her schools with so many amazing things aside from Spanish language development. Pasitos uses Positive Discipline and even asks their families to attend a workshop so you can use it at home or reinforce what they do at school. They value and prioritize play and social emotional learning. I love that my kids are learning to identify emotions and manage them appropriately with various tools. They serve organic snacks and encourage zero waste lunches. They teach the kids about taking care of each other and the planet. They foster community between the families at Pasitos with various events over the year. The teachers are AMAZING. My kids love their teachers so much! My kids have become much more self sufficient and independent as the Maestras work hard to develop these skills at school. Their Spanish is progressing nicely despite living in an English only house. The women I've worked with in the admin side of things have always been great and happy to answer my questions or talk through things with me. This was especially helpful through all the pandemic issues. I truly feel like my kids and our family is in great hands at Pasitos. I will be sad to say adios when that day comes. read more

I am so happy I found Pasitos and enrolled my 2.5 year old in the Spanish Immersion program. My (very) shy son was able to warm up to the maestras and other students in no time. I was concerned that this would be difficult for him since we don't speak Spanish at home, but in fact, it has helped him build stronger social skills in a diverse environment while incorporating an openness to different languages and cultures. Outside play time is a big part of the daily routine, rain or shine... invaluable, as our children are spending more and more time indoors and in front of the screen. Art, creative expression and exploration are intertwined into the day, too. During the pandemic, I feel confident in all of the precautionary steps Pasitos has taken for the safety of students, staff and families. We absolutely LOVE Pasitos! I have a Master's degree in education from Stanford University and was a Spanish teacher for many years and I can't tell you how impressed I've been with the level of care and instruction my child gets here. Maestra Tami, one of the owners, is one of the strongest educators I've ever met and she works with the staff directly to ensure consistency and quality education and care for all little ones. Furthermore, if you know anything about bilingual education you will be blown away by the instruction going on in the classrooms. Pasitos is play-based, Reggio Emilio, so my kid always comes home happy with dirty fingernails from digging in the earth and playing hard outdoors-- just as it should be! My two children have attended this Pasitos location for the past year, and my youngest will be continuing as my oldest graduates to a bilingual immersion kindergarten program. When we were looking for a new school last summer, we were interested in Spanish immersion but our highest priority was finding a strong play-based, child-led learning program that featured positive discipline, engaged and warm teachers, and lots of outdoor play. At Pasitos, we've found all of those things in one place, in addition to a really admirable environmental sustainability policy, and our two very different children are both thriving there as a result. All programs are mostly in Spanish is no-go for so many families. There is one program that is 1h of English a day. Even the afterschool is in Spanish. Hope they realize at some point that English is important to anyone to be successful in the US. read more

My son (age 5) has attended Pasitos Central for almost two years and my daughter (almost 4) has been there for a little under a year. Having my children attend this preschool was, hands-down, one of the best decisions we ever made. There are so many things I love about this school: 1) The maestras are incredibly nurturing, kind, loving and passionate about teaching. This is shown by their warmth and smiles during drop off and pick up, the weekly messages we receive about what the amigos learned in class that week, the weekly photos they share on the shutterfly share site, and the smiles and fun stories my kids have when I pick them up. 2) We are English only speakers at home, and my children are already so knowledgeable in Spanish. They can count to 20, they know their colors and shapes, and they love teaching us about what they're learning. This Spanish knowledge base will allow them to assimilate well when they attend the TWBI program at our local elementary school. 3) The program is not solely academics based, but instead is a combination art, free play, music, dance, and exploration. As a result, my kids ENJOY going to school and look forward to it every day. They have also made lots of new friends and, as a result, have built up their confidence and independence. Attending Pasitos has allowed them to start on what I hope will be a lifelong journey of finding joy in education. As a high school teacher, I try hard to instill a love of education in my children; Pasitos does a fantastic job of reinforcing this for my kids, daily. My 3 year old has attended Pasitos for one year (since we moved from the East Coast) and we are thrilled with not only her progress with language but also her empathy and compassion for others. I have heard good things from someone whose child actually attended this school, unfortunately my poor son will never have that option! The school lost the paperwork and check we brought in last month and gave away our son's spot. Our two children have attended Bright Days Preschool in Campbell for four years and we have never once had an issue with them losing anything pertaining to our children. Who has our information? Who has our check? Who knows! My poor little guy has been so excited to learn Spanish, and he is heart broken that he will not be attending this school. Not only that, our other school is now full for the two days we signed up for Pasitos so I am scrambling to find schooling for him at the last moment. All the good schools are full by now, the entire situation is extremely upsetting. My review is just about our personal experience, and I'm warning others so they are sure to get something in writing from these people. read more

My daughter (5) and son (3) attended the summer program at Pasitos Central. I was very impressed with the teachers, the activities they do during the day and their healthy eating philosophy. Most importantly, my kids had a blast and came home with a smile every day. I'm a native Spanish speaker and was planning a family trip to my home country at the end of the summer. I needed the kids to have a language immersion experience before we went so that they could communicate with our family over there.
