Passage of Defense
This is an old mansion that was once owned by the Ezezia family, for whom the airport is named after! It's a two-story mansion that was built in the 19th century.
From what I could tell, this old looking checker floored building seems to be some sort of shopping mall. You're welcome to walk through this little cut-through open air building that is shaped kinda like an E. In this middle are shops that sell Argentine antiques, artsy curated collections of things that were once junk. There's also fashionable clothes for sale, and some artwork. The lettering on all the signs is that Porteno script that everyone loves.
The place looks so old. There's pockmarks on the wall that sorta look like bullet holes. The floors are worn and chipped. I wouldn't try coming through here in a wheelchair. Tango music wafts through the open air atrium in the center.
This place is located on San Telmo right down the street from the Plaza Dorrego. Parking can be challenging. read more
