No one would come after the call button not even her yelling for help. She laid in her own urine for 6 HOURS, and nobody checked on her until we the family members checked our cameras that we installed and found this out. That same night they dropped her in the shower, and she broke her shoulder. It was all downhill from here. She never really recovered from the fall. even after the fall NO physical therapy. She was in better shape before we had her admitted her into Sylvan Shores. Today we no longer have my family member with us after 2 months and if we would have known that this place would not be taken care of her like they said they would, we would have never put her in this place. And she still would have been with us. If you are thinking about putting your family member in this facility DO NOT!!!!!!! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. My problem is getting in the place when you drive over an hour to get there . And no one is around to let you in before 8am . You either freeze outside in the winter or sweat to tears in the summer until someone comes to let you in . Another problem is getting my mom's food heated up . Their patience and compassion for their memory challenged residents is wonderful. My mother was moved out of memory care, into their long term care, because she was no longer a flight risk. The care in that section was very good but not as attentive as the long term care area. I was thrilled when Meagan said she wanted to move mother back to the memory care section where she still resides. I enjoy visiting her there because I can take her outside to their covered pavilion where she can enjoy sunshine and fresh air.

Some of the doctors were so down to earth while some were arrogant and ended up being wrong when we consulted the specialist doctor. In the end Dr Gilber was a cold robot when he punctured my son's gut during the third surgery. On the emergency surgery afterwards he just said he repaired a perforation. I assume that was his bed side manner of saying he screwed up and punctured my son's gut. But it was the third surgery that ultimately resulted in my son's death...
