Never rushing you never making you feel like you're an inconvenience. He always discusses the treatment plan or what he's thinking about doing before you get charged. He's very upfront overall love the care here because he actually listens / pays attention to what his patient's concerns are. Anytime my mom and I go we literally use the pharmacy that is down the street. He sends it almost immediately while you're checking out and it's an easy pick up. He has seen me for the flu. I felt better within two or three days. My mom has come for different types of care but overall, I say he's a pretty great doctor.

I told her it was unacceptable and I'm not going to tolerate it. She apologized and said that she would check back in with me in a little while. 5-10 minutes later, she came back and said the Dr would be another 5-10 minutes before he would see me. I told her no ma'am I'm not going to wait another minute and I walked out without seeing anyone today. I told her this is the last time I will be back to this clinic. I had another appointment next month but on my way out, I stopped by the desk and canceled it as well. I did receive my co-pay back that I had paid for today. The drawback would be that I don't think I have seen the same doctor twice, it's always someone different, which means re-capping the medical history because like most medical professionals, they can't be bothered to read your chart. They prefer if you have an appointment, but there is a time allotted for walk-ins every morning, which is good when you are sick but don't want to miss work.

He is everything one could desire in a primary care physician. His availability allows for e-mail or text of a medical need, to which he responds, clarifies, and proceeds with sending prescription order or whatever is appropriate. Dr. Becker is actively and directly familiar with medical specialists and their competencies---not merely looking them up in a directory or online. He diagnosed my prostate cancer in 2003, and guided my choice of one of the most competent urologists in the Houston area. That same urologist treated the urologically related elements of my wife's cancer, and, in turn, directed her to one of the most competent gynecological oncologists in Houston. Dr. Becker has also served as primary care physician for one of my sisters and her husband, treating significant complexities with total satisfaction. In the last two months of my wife's life, Dr. Becker and HIS wife visited my wife during her final hospitalization, and thereafter they visited her twice in our home---not for medical treatment, but rather because they cared.

First, she was NOT friendly. I was taken aback instantly by how she answered the phone. She was very short, curt, and abrupt through our very brief conversation. Then, I realized she is only an answering service, and if I wanted to schedule an appointment, I would have to wait 6 days until someone else returned to the office to call me to get my information (and who knows how long I'd have to wait to be seen after that). If the first person I spoke to is any indicator on how the rest of my experience will go, I will easily move on and find someone else.

On the surface, the Medical Resort is a nice, clean facility. The therapy dept is the best part of…read morewhat is offered here. They did a good job working with my mother and seemed to care about their patients. The nursing staff I dealt with was okay, though I think they're understaffed...weekends were worse. I did find out that meds weren't always given when they were supposed to, but it also depended on who was giving it. One would tell me they couldn't get my mother to take her meds and another one would tell me they don't have any problems...??? The aides were a mixed bag. Some are responsive when you need them and some just disappeared if you needed them to do something they didn't want to deal with. Being polite and saying please and thank you go a long way in a place like this. I think some people forget this. At the bottom is the food service. They wouldn't serve my mother's food the consistency and way it was written on the menu. There was very little variety and we were having to bring food in a lot of the time, which is unacceptable. My mother also wasn't mobile, and they managed to let her develop a pressure sore. To summarize, if your loved one is mobile and can feed themselves, and only need therapy, then it's a good place to go. Anything less, I would avoid this place.

I went everyday and always issues I prayed that I could come with out issues. People that didn't come see their loved ones were a lot worse and told me it wasn't my family. I had to make them take my mom to St Luke's after I found her gown covered where she threw up. After going to the hospital she got better and begged not to go back after they took the trach out but since the insurance was used up she had to go back and we had her transferred to my home town but after the hospital in Victoria Detar almost killed her and the staff there was just as bad.
