In 1983 she opened the first Paper Source in Chicago. In 2021 the Paper Source was sold to Barnes and Noble. Today there are over 120 Paper Source stores across the United States selling wrapping paper, home goods, gifts, party supplies, paper crafts, craft supplies, toys, announcements, planners, calendars, personalized stationary, pens, totes, greeting cards, books, and more. Fun fact, Megan, the Duchess of Sussex worked as a calligraphy instructor at the Beverly Hills Paper Source from 2004 to 2005. The Paper Source is located in Delray Place on the corner of Linton Blvd. and Federal Highway. This was my first visit and I was impressed with the inventory and how it was displayed by like items in the bright and cheery store. If you wanted to find a hostess gift for your foodie friend, it was very easy to find the right display that had cookbooks, dishes, and totes. I especially loved their Halloween collection with decorations, candles, toys, and stationary. Prices seemed on the more expensive side, a tea light for example was $16 but they have two tiers of Membership, one that is free and one for $39.99 that can give you an additional discount along with other benefits. They also have sales throughout the store like a buy one, get one half off on paper craft kits. By visiting the Paper Source website I learned that you can do $10 virtual classes with them, supplies not included. I feel like I have just scratched the surface of all that the Paper Source has to offer. The craft kids were some of my favorite items. I love anything that gets the kids off the electronics and using their hands and minds. Now that I have discovered Paper Source I will be back for that unique greeting card and one of a kind gift.

They are owned by Barnes and Noble so if you've got a gift card, you can use it in either place! It's worth it to check out and they are having nice sales right now on seasonal items!

The hotel was built in the Spanish Colonial Revival-style of architecture and it opened in 1926 as the Alterep Hotel during Florida's wealthy land boom years. It's distinctive yellow color and history makes it one of the most recognizable buildings in Delray Beach. The are several little shops in this area of the building including Beach Paradise, a women's clothing store and a gift shop, Just Hearts. Salutations of Delray was started by Diana Bush in 2004 as a result of searching for invitations to purchase for her daughters upcoming wedding. They specialize in custom wedding invitations and announcements along with custom stationary and greeting cards. Other things they carry included linen towels with funny phrases, Pampa Bay tableware, Nora Fleming stoneware, Thymes Frasier Fir candles and diffusers, items that can be personalized, children's gifts. and party supplies. The store motto is "Everyday is an occasion...celebrate in style!" Writing a letter and personalized stationary seems to be a kind of lost art in the email world of today and I love that you can rediscover that here. They will also help you craft the perfect invitation or announcement and don't forget that there are so many unique and whimsical items for gifts or gifting yourself. If you are in the downtown Delray Beach area, this store is an elegant and fun stop to make.

The food was wonderful, she ordered all of the tables and bars from them, and they displayed everything beautifully. I'm an appetizer girl so the cocktail hour was my favorite part of the evening especially the sushi boats, tuna tartare on wonton chips, and crab cakes. There was so much food being passed around that I didn't have a chance to try everything, but thank goodness for leftovers and I really enjoyed the lamb chops for dinner tonight (the evening after the party). For dinner they served prime rib, chicken, and rice. I'm more of a fish gal so this didn't really appeal to me, but everyone else seemed happy and I was pretty full from the cocktail hour. And then there was a dessert....the most amazing chocolate cake ever. My mom had complained earlier in the day that they were charging her $275 for the cake, which she thought was absurd, but this cake looked and tasted like it was worth the money. I was too full for the rest of the pastries (chocolate mousse, tarts, etc), but enjoyed those as leftovers as well. In situations like this it's always to find a few things wrong so there were a few things that I'd recommend watching out for if you use this caterer. My mom had called a few days earlier to tell the caterer she was expecting a few more people than originally planned, but the caterer must have forgotten so they were bringing extra chairs outside as people were sitting down for dinner and didn't have enough silverware prepared. We also noticed that they didn't put any water on the tables and while most people were enjoying their alcohol beverages a glass of water would have been nice as well (especially after all that salty food). They brought plenty of staff, but we probably could have used one more because the bartender had to leave the bar on several occasions to help out with something else. Overall, my mom and the guests were very happy with the caterer so I have a feeling I'll be eating seeing In Good Taste again for future family affairs.

We did not get all the food we were promised, and my party fell short of our expected guests, we were hoping for 60, but got 30, but was promised a bartender. We had no bartender, and was charged for 60 guests which was about 99.00 a head, we could have gone to the Breakers for that amount of money, considering it was hamburgers, hot dogs, fires and some pasta. The cake which looked like the picture was obviously made 3-4 days earlier, very dry, my daughter who loves red velvet cake was very disappointed, we were never offered any leftovers, will rethink another caterer next event. Caterer agreed to refund some money but I have yet to see it. Oh and I was charged twice for tips. Live and learn I guess.
