PLEASE READ: Do not hire this "DJ". He left my wedding while I was in the middle of my ceremony and to this day I do not honestly know why because his reasons changed several times. He didn't even answer my phone calls when I got done with my wedding ceremony and stated that it was due to cell phone issues (either thats very unprofessional or he was lying). He forced me to call someone in the middle of my cocktail hour and thank god they showed up within the hour otherwise my reception would have be RUINED! Luckily I booked him through a third party website with insurance because the only time he actually spoke to me was when they classified his contract as a no-show and needed to issue me a refund. When we did speak he never apologized and only criticized my family and other vendors for not speaking "proper english". He is a scam artist and one of the people who give Miami a bad reputation. I've had two parties with Party Specialists and the reviews I'm seeing here, in particular the one with the email exchanges sounds nothing like them. They get nothing but my unreserved 5 star review (we hired them for a second party for a reason), and Bruce has been nothing but professional and accommodating, especially given the crazy last minute requests by some of our guests. Bruce knows how to get the party going and get people to the dance floor. I noticed him quickly changing strategies when people started leaving the dance floor and he got them right back up there. I later found out some people danced so much they didn't even try the food (which was a shame because the food provided by the venue was par-none) The biggest endorsement I can give them will be that I will be calling no one other than Party Specialists for my next party read more

Bruce had hosted numerous Halloween parties and Christmas parties for my family in the last few years, and I must say he is very organized, prepared, and professional. He's always early to each event and brings in his own equipment to setup, plus he doesn't mind taking requests all night from guests for various playlists. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY. The Party Specialist DJ, Bruce Bernarth was a complete no show and still wants to charge me 50% for doing nothing. In over 20 years of doing business as a Party Entertainer in the South Florida area I have never encountered a company as unprofessional and unaccommodating as Party Specialist. Here is what happened. My company was hired to do several things for a large community event with several dignitaries at the Miami Children's Hospital in Miramar Florida. Due to the numerous events my company had on this day I secured the services of Party Specialist to provide a DJ with PA Sound system. When the DJ (Bruce Bernath) showed up he was told by an event coordinator to set up on a stage in the direct sun. This I do understand is not a very acceptable situation. I also acknowledge that Party Specialist states in their contract that shade must be provided. Nevertheless the DJ begrudgingly agreed to set up on the stage that was uncovered. Then, to my horror and the irreversible damaging of my reputation as a special event business, the DJ promptly disappeared from the event never to return. When I tried reaching the DJ my call was answered by a lady who was in no way empathetic to my situation of having a large special event with several dignitaries and no PA Sound system and no music. When the lady explained the lack of cover as the reason the DJ left I reasoned that the DJ should have called me and given me a chance to rectify the situation. When I asked to speak with the DJ she told me she would not allow me to speak to him. She then told me she would refund my money in full which she did not because I only received a 50% refund. I know the company is going to argue they could not perform their duties due to lack of shade. My main contention is that the DJ never called me (the one who hired him and sent him and whose name was at stake) and did not give me a chance to rectify the situation. (Which I would have) Instead of calling me, he just left the event. Here is the bottom line.Anyone who walks from an event has little to no conscience and has broken the cardinal rule of special events. No matter what - the show must go on. read more

The DJ was TWO HOURS late!!! We had agreed that the DJ would play a Wolfman Jack 1950s radio personality. The DJ barely knew what 1950s music was and did not interact with the audience at all. No personality at all. When I tried calling Bruce from Party Specialists, he did not answer the phone. He does not give the client the DJ's phone number. I called three times during the two hours between the beginning of my party and when the DJ arrived. I didn't get a call back until the next day.
