I find no pleasure in giving less than satisfactory reviews but this experience literally brought me to tears. VENUE First, the changes in venue were unsettling for me and concerning for invited guests. In spite of the fact that we had a contract for the Venetian I was given no choice in the change in venue to the Fire Tower. COMMUNICATION Communication was great in the beginning but seemed to drop off significantly after the change in venue and payment was made. DECOR The decor was simplistic and not at a "professional" level. The Table cloths were wrinkled. There was no coordination among the arrangements in the centerpieces - they seem to have been just thrown together. FOOD The food was not presented as I ordered it and was served at the Tasting. The food was cold and kid sized portions. The service was slow and disorganized. There was a lot of waste because few guests ate the food and complained it was not what they were told would be served. some guests arrived 50 minutes after dinner was served and were told the kitchen was closed. DJ The DJ didn't perform to expectations even though we provided the music and instructed him to play certain songs. MISC. Many guests were disturbed by the fact that a dog was walking through the venue during the party. I am sensitive to the fact that he may have been a "service dog" but it was not what is expected during a private party. As a matter of fact, one of my guests asked if she could bring her pet and she was told "no pets allowed" only to come and see a dog present. I pride myself on organization, attention to detail, and excellent service above all. This experience has negatively impacted my reputation. Some guests have said they would not attend future events I host. You would not have been in business as long as you have if the experience we had was typical of the level of service you deliver. And I would hate to think that it was indicative of the lack of value that was placed on my business. I wish you all the best in the future and hope this review leads to a better level of service for others.

There are a few organizations that host such parties here (at the time of this writing, a couple nights I particularly enjoy are the monthly Salaholics and Noche Divina socials). The space itself is very aesthetically pleasing, thanks largely to the nicely done ceiling drapery, the dance floor is great, and there is plenty of table seating (with white tablecloths... classy!) around the perimeter of the floor. The parking situation perhaps isn't ideal, as flow into and out of the grass lot across the one-way street can be a little awkward, but it's not a big problem.

He took time out of his extremely busy schedule to make sure I had all of my questions answered and even set up meeting times so he could give me his undivided attention. I had approximately 130 invites sent out, note that Club Tropical can fit that many people more than comfortably and you'd still have plenty room for a dance floor. Elvis coordinated the 3-course Haitian Caribbean meal. My family is Haitian-Bahamian and the feedback was the food was spot on! I'd agree with that sentiment, the food was delicious! He took his time in going through decoration options down to the dinner napkins and what was all included in my top package. Not only decor, but the floral arrangements were included and coordinated too. He was such a blessing in helping me honor my mother's life I am forever thankful for him and his team! He exceeded my already high expectations. Elvis added extra pieces to my event that truly set it off and set it a part. My family said it will be a night they will never ever forget and they're so glad we didn't go with a traditional funeral. Special thanks to his event coordinator, Caroline, who basically waited on me hand and foot as the host to make sure I could do what all I needed to do as smoothly as possible and that the event transitioned perfectly. Their outdoor garden/backyard area is such a hidden gem, with the lush tropical landscaping, fountain, waterfall, and evening lighting that create an incredible atmosphere for both guests and photography. The indoor ballroom is equally elegant and gives clients such a polished, upscale feel while still feeling warm and inviting. As someone behind the camera, I can say this venue photographs beautifully from so many angles, which makes such a difference for couples and event hosts wanting timeless images. There were hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ chicken, and ribs. Side dishes included corn on the cob, baked beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. A separate condiment table was set up with the usual fixings. Mustard, ketchup, relish, mayonnaise, sour kraut, shredded cheese and more. They thought of everything. Separate tables with a bartender (no alcohol) were set up with ice, bottled water, and cans of iced tea, and a variety of sodas. Later a dessert table was set up with chocolate chip cookies and brownies. The food was delicious and there was plenty left for anyone that wanted more. I'm glad it was held inside with air conditioning. This is July in Florida and eating outside wouldn't have been fun. I saw that my friends already had a table when we got there. Clyde and I joined them. There were chafing dishes set up in the back of the room. People were called up in groups by the number on their table. We were at table number 31 so we had a bit of a wait. No problem. The serving line went quickly. When our table was called we got in line. I noticed that there were servers dishing out the food. Not only does that prevent people from overloading their plates and the serving utensils aren't being handled by everybody. Even though we were at one of the last tables to be called there was still plenty of food. It didn't look like they had run out of anything. The food was very good. Even if there's no recycle bins in sight recyclable items could have been separated into trash bags. I know it takes extra effort to recycle but I think it's important.

We also had a much tighter timeline than ideal, but thanks to Flor's flexibility, hard work and willingness to help us our wedding was a great success! The table decorations and centerpieces were beautiful and Flor went out of her way to make sure that all of the tables were properly decorated and set up - such as the candy table, the sweetheart table (which came out amazing!) and the cake and gift tables. Everything flowed together perfectly and the ballroom looked wonderful. We received many compliments on the arrangements and decorations from all of our guests.
