I buy large amounts of meat and bring it home to can. They sell these long rolls of Angus Fine Ground Beef and they were at $1.69, then went up to $1.79 and now are up to $2.29 a pound......but they are still worth it, and better than what the grocery stores sell. The beef roasts, pork roasts, chicken breast tenderloins are all superior quality! Can't find anything wrong with a single thing. We also like to buy the fresh produce at Mainesource. They sell large bags of lettuce and salad greens that unlike the bags of the ones you get at the grocery stores last more than a couple of days. Once summer comes though, I'll be growing my own. So I am very fussy about the produce I do purchase and this store passes my test. I also like to purchase the bulk cleaning supplies, paper products, and large cans of things like tomato sauces. They have a large selection of all and excellent prices. This is another one of my favorite stores! I highly recommend it.

He took it out today to use and noticed little white dots on the chicken. After googling what they could be and seeing a mix of reviews he called Maines to see if he could exchange the product since he saw some concerns about eating chicken like that. Maines told him that theyve never seen any chicken like that and would not exchange it. Very disappointing since they couldnt tell why the chicken would have that happen especially after being in the freezer and werent willing to do anything so now he will have to discard a whole bag of chicken since he is not sure what would cause that and would not want to take the chance of getting sick.

Party City is a store from another time and I don't think its long for this earth. They have a lot…read moreof structural issues and they are declaring some kind of bankruptcy soon I believe. It's almost a shame that that's the case because I've been to party city about 4 times and it's usually surprisingly useful. Can you get all the same stuff from amazon possibly for cheaper? Eh probably, but the convenience of brick and mortar is same day and finding things you never knew you needed. Having been here once recently for props for a photo shoot for my baby daughter i learned that I actually really like the black and gold decorations for new years which I have never had in my life. In addition apparently any kid that goes to party city gets one free balloon. That's a classy establishment. I'll probably continue to buy my useless party junk on amazon for the most part but all in all, shockingly good store despite what you would somewhat expect.

Horrible customer service by an employee on my visit 10/3/2002 at the Party City in New Hartford,…read moreNY. Nick, I was told was the supervisor and he was so RUDE. It was 15 minutes before closing, Nick along with 3 other employees were standing around chatting while one employee was cashing out a customer, who had a ton of items. After the store closed and we still had not moved in line, myself, the couple in front of me and the woman behind me were getting frustrated, I asked Nick if he could open another register and he snapped at me and said "I'm working on it so just wait". After a few more minutes an employee finally opened another register. As I left the store, Nick opened the locked door and as I walked out he slammed the doors shut almost before I got out. My daughter was in the car right outside the door and she was shocked at what he had done. This employee should not be a supervisor! Good luck Party City!

Especially since you end up paying more in a party supply store than at other stores that have comparable items. I just happened to be in this plaza already so I decided to give it a try to pick up the last few items I needed that they just might carry. If it weren't for that fact, I probably would have bypassed this store and kept going on my way. Why does it feel like a dungeon when you walk in here. It feels so cavernous to have to be in a place that should be exuding excitement. I rarely come to one of these so I had no idea where I needed to go. I wandered at first and then just basically went up and down every aisle until I found what I needed. As you can guess, it was literally the last spot in the store after walking all the aisles. I did end up finding a few of the items I needed so that made it worthwhile, but in the long run, made for a longer visit than need be. The highlight of this place, a reason for the higher star rating, was the staff. She was super pleasant and quick. At the register we did make some chit chat and she had me out the door in no time. She was even able to assist another customer while finishing up my transaction.

Delivery finally happened about 5pm; driver was alone so we had to help unload the truck!?! The exact same thing happened on the pick-up day - - nothing from them until I phoned at 4pm-ish. Had we been told it would be late afternoon delivery & pick-up, we wouldn't have lost many hours waiting for a call (our function location was near but not at our home). The condition of the tables and chairs was appalling - - very dirty, dented, split and badly chipped plywood table tops; filthy, rickety folding chairs. We had to track down a couple of "normal" patio chairs for two people who would have fallen badly using the rental chairs. The only good thing about the rental was the linens - - they brought the colors I requested, and all were very clean and nice looking. Will never use them again, and will never recommend them - - will actively discourage folks who need party stuffs.

Outdated & Dirty Tents, Tables & Chairs in terrible condition. Service was slow and rude…read more Was part of organizing a major fundraising event this past weekend. Here are some of the issues we had with Taylor Rental of Vestal: Tents were set up 1 to 3 days later than promised. Many tents were worn and ripped. The main tent was FILTHY (see photo) and was promised by Ralph for 3 days that he would clean it. It took a phone call to the owner the morning of our event to have anything done. Apparently Ralph was just going to ignore it. This tent alone cost over $5,500 to rent. Tables and chair arrived a day late. They were not unloaded where we asked them to causing many more hours of work for our volunteers. The tables were falling apart - many had legs that didn't work, the tops were very rough, and the edges where falling off or missing. Many people setting them up had splinters due to the poor condition. It was obvious that the chairs were brought from another event without being cleaned. Most had to be washed again - and that is a lot of work for 800+ chairs. When I asked Ralph (the service manager) about it said there was nothing he could do. We will definitely be looking for a new supplier next year and recommend you shop around before using Taylor Rental in Vestal. If they treat a $10,000+ rental contract this way how with they handle your smaller event.
