Preparing for our meeting. There were lots of good sized rooms along with a great ballroom for our convention.

This place is wonderful. After a three and half hour drive it was nice to get off the parkway and be at our location in just a few minutes. We pulled into their lot and were able to park right away. We were here for a conference and it was no nice to walk into this large bright hotel check in early and go right to our room with the DELICIOUS cookies in our hand. It was nice being on the 10th floor with a beautiful view of the mountains. We had a lovely room with ample space to set up our computers and printer. We were even able to put two chairs at the same desk. Plenty of power and excellent WI-FI. The rest of the room was fine... Ample closet space a nice size bright bathroom and large screen flat TV. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Of course their was a coffee maker with an ample supply of coffee. I was extremely happy with the layout since we were having a conference here. The last thing I wanted to do was to have the rooms spread out all over the hotel... This was not the case here. The layout was perfect for both the forums and business meetings of 275 plus. Everything was so nicely located and it made moving around extremely simple. Our Gala dinner was in a beautiful spacious room. The cocktail hour took place across the hall in a lovely room(s) that easily held us all and allowed for a lot of movement. The wait staff the night did nan excellent job and the food was not bad. It seemed that everyone enjoyed either their Salmon, Steak or Chicken. Since this is a college town, there are ample local bars and grills for dining. We really had a good time exploring the area. Overall, I give them a sold 4 stars and look forward to my next trip here for another conference.

Stopped here for one night stay during Memorial Day weekend. I was not expecting much and leveled my expectations since this is Binghamton after all. This hotel is pretty spacious. Lots of parking spaces. There is a lot next to and across the street. Once in the lobby, there is a long walk to the front desk. I was greeted with a warm welcome. Cold water bottles were offered. I stayed on the seventh floor with a view of the Susquehanna River (not the cleanest river out there). The elevators were clean and had a good fresh smell to it. There is a bit of construction around the elevator, but the rooms were already renovated. Bathroom is updated and water pressure was fine. Room was spacious. The decor and paint seem like it was gearing towards the 70's or 80's. Way too much brown/tan color going on. A tiring feel. Had breakfast at the Bistro. It was decent. Staff was nice. Omelette and toppings were made right. The kid's waffles came with blueberries, strawberries, chocolate chips and whip cream. Don't forget the complimentary cookies when checking in!

I came here for a conference a few months back with some colleagues. When I checked in they said they had no card on file from my company for the reservation so I gave my own. I was surprised, but figured I'd square up with my company later. The cookie helped ease my annoyance. The room was clean and big. The hotel itself seemed clean as well. However, there was a very odd swarm of flies outside my window at all times. I'm talking like 20-30 flies in multiple sections trying to get in. Eww. The bed was very comfortable and the shower, good pressure. The tv was a joke though (see picture). I only called room service once for utensils and they were quite fast in bringing them to me which I appreciated. When my colleagues checked in the next day, they suddenly found that card on file, which is odd, because the reservations were made all together. Unfortunately they messed up their rooms though. We had the documents that showed 3 rooms total reserved, but they only reserved 2. I wasn't there for the conversation but apparently it didn't go pleasantly, and my colleagues had to get our company on the phone with them. Eventually they found another room. They weren't given a cookie lol I ate in the hotel restaurant/bar and it was very good! The staff was pleasant and engaging as well. Overall....great size rooms, reservation confusion. Egh.

Went to this hotel from a visit from Montrose PA. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Went up to my room and looked very nice. Bed was ok, Nothing to exciting but good enough. Bathroom was Good as well. I love how this hotel has great parking so people don't get in car lines. Very quiet hotel to. 4 star for me and I'll definitely be coming back!

Went to check out Rive Bistro about a week ago with a few friends . One of my friends had to write…read morea pipe dreams article on it for restaurant week. Honestly I did not expect much because it was Binghamton. The food was good, the taste was comparable to some restaurants I've tried in the city. We ordered 2 Pan Roasted Atlantic Salmon Butter Milk Smashed Potatoes and Sauteed Mustard Greens ($14 each), a Grilled Chicken Panni with Portabello Mushroom, Smoked Cheddar Cheese and Sauteed Mustard Greens, and a Salad(forgot which one) with Grilled Ahi Tuna. All the dishes were presented nicely in terms of culinary art. I had the Pan Roasted Atlantic Salmon Butter Milk Smashed Potatoes and Sauteed Mustard Greens with Truffle Scented Mac & Cheese ($4) on the side. Personally I believe that I've had better. The salmon was not over cooked, the skin was maybe a little bit too crispy. I think it is pretty good for the price. The mashed potatoes and the sauteed greens went well with the dish. The sauce on the plate also went well with the salmon. As for the Truffle Scented Mac & Cheese, I was disappointed. The pasta could have been a little softer. I would give the Truffle Scented Mac & Cheese 3 stars and Pan Roasted Atlantic Salmon Butter Milk Smashed Potatoes 4 stars. I am comparing this to my Camaje and SMAC experience. For dessert we had 3 orders of gelato and an order of warm molted lava cake with vanilla gelato. I had the warm molted lava cake with vanilla gelato. It was pretty good, but I have had better dessert than this. I mean this is better than probably dessert from TGIF or Apple Bees. The cake was really moist. All of us were satisfied with our meal. This place is definitely has a great atmosphere. It is a little fancy and romantic. It's great for dates or special celebrations. I went for lunch and the bright light was shinning in through the window (does not have a nice window view) It seems like the restaurant is a candle light dinner or dim light type later in the evening. The restaurant is inside a hotel. So I would not dress too bum-like, lol... One thing that disturbed me was an unfamiliar object had dropped into my friend's glass of water as the waitress was filling it. But she kindly replaced it for us. They had really good service. I would definitely go again to try some of their other stuff.

After dinner, I went back to the hotel and lit up a nice cigar. The next morning, I woke up refreshed. The bed was comfortable, the shower products were very good but this hotel doesn't believe in giving out bar soap? Yeah.. I travel with a bar from L'Occitane so these silly rules don't apply to me. I woke up, poured myself a cup of coffee from the free breakfast bar. I see families coming down and enjoying the breakfast selections. I'm sure they're here for a graduation or visiting a student. Leading up to graduation this year, sadly, my mother passed away - we had a room reserved for her which we, obviously, sought to cancel. Apparently, Hilton, and specifically this trash-bag of a property, feel that my mother should have died sooner to avoid having to pay a cancelation fee. My apologies that my mother DIED at an inconvenient time for you - so much so that I am now out over 600 dollars to cancel a room which you were able to turn around an IMMEDIATELY sell again. Hilton hotels will never see another dollar of my money - and this hotel in particular, and it's clown of a general manager, can both go pound sand. I TRULY hope that you end up being taken advantage of due to the death of someone close to you so that you will understand what an absolute piece of garbage you were in this situation. Screw this property, and Hilton in general - this is not the last that this will be heard of.

I never tasted anything approaching lime or cilantro. i never complain but this was ridiculous. I commented I didn't even get the ciabatta bread and her comment was that the cook warned her he was out. WTF? My husband wanted to try their ' shortcake' with mixed berries'. By this time there were three people in the restaurant, including us. it took another half hour and we actually were standing to leave when it arrived. From the moment we arrived at Traditions at the Glen in New York, we knew we were in for something special. A sanctuary among stunning natural beauty, this hotel offers a rare combination of breathtaking scenery, heartfelt hospitality, and rich history -- all of which made our experience unforgettable. The scenery is absolutely impeccable -- nestled amidst lush greenery with breathtaking views in every direction, it felt like we had stepped into a peaceful retreat away from the everyday. The gardens adorning the estate were in full fragrant bloom -- Butterflies fluttered among pink blooms and red roses, while bees hummed softly, savoring each blossom's sweetness. Around the lawn's fountain, rose bushes blushed in full bloom as birds dipped playfully in the water, sending sparkling droplets into the air--a quiet ballet of nature in perfect harmony. Whether it was early morning mist rising from the hills or the golden glow of sunset through the trees, every moment was picture-perfect. One of the most remarkable aspects of Traditions is its origin as a private residence. That warm history is still very much alive in the atmosphere, creating a unique sense of coziness and charm that is truly a treasure in itself. The elegant architecture, thoughtfully preserved details, and welcoming common spaces made us feel like we were stepping into a beautifully cared-for home rather than just a hotel. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the people. The staff at Traditions are some of the kindest and most passionate individuals we've ever encountered. A heartfelt thank you to Barbara at the front desk who welcomed us with such warmth and professionalism that we immediately felt at home. She went above and beyond to make sure our check-in was seamless and that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. A special shout-out goes to Kayla, the bartender and hospitality waitress whose friendly smile, attentive service, and genuine care made every evening in the lounge and dining room feel like catching up with an old friend. Her attention to detail and warm demeanor added a personal touch that truly made a difference. And we can't forget Larry, who oversaw breakfast each morning. His pride in the kitchen and hospitality shined through in every delicious bite and every kind word. He brought such a comforting energy to the start of each day with a hearty meal and a kind smile. Though we didn't catch the names of every team member, it's clear that every single staff member at Traditions takes pride in their work and truly values their guests. Their collective hospitality and passion made our stay not just comfortable, but genuinely heartwarming. Traditions at the Glen isn't just a place to stay -- it's a place to feel at peace, to connect, and to create memories. We left feeling refreshed, deeply cared for, and already looking forward to returning. Thank you to the entire team for such a beautiful and heartfelt experience.
