I paid ahead of time, they wanted to charge me $23 to fill up balloons I paid for at this store and paid to have them filled up. I bought a large bowl from this Party city because it was the second location I stopped at today for an ice bucket (out of stock at both locations) I needed for work. I ended up buying it out of desperation, I was running behind so I didn't ask about the return policy-I knew it might not work for what I needed it for and I knew I may need to return it. I put ice in it and was unable to use it, thinking it would be no big deal to return it considering the fact that it was in the exact same condition I purchased it in and that I had the original receipt, I took it back for a return. I was wrong. Immediately I knew this was going to be an issue because the shift manager gave me a lot of attitude right away asking why there was water droplets in it-I calmly explained and handed her the original receipt from my purchase I had made only three hours ago. She raises her eyebrows and sarcastically says, Um okay I'm going to have to talk to my manager about this-makes me wait for a long time when I have an hour drive ahead of me and comes back and refuses the return and refuses to let me speak with the manager. I live in downtown Houston and don't have time for some silly unprofessional girl to refuse a return simply because she obviously had some kind of issue with me, the bowl wasn't even used. I'm just going to return it at another Party City where the management is actually professional. *update: just returned it at another location with NO problems whatsoever! Because there was nothing wrong with the bowl and I don't appreciate being treated the way I was. There was even a customer in the store that felt so bad for me that he was willing to give me the money that this location wouldn't give me and I said no it's okay, I'm going to get my money back at a store with a more professional staff. read more

I purchased items from this location and then I no longer needed those items. I lost the receipt and attempted to make a store exchange and was told I needed to provide the exact day items were purchased and the card used. I disagreed with the store policy but I did provide the manager with the information. I was told they could not show proof the items were purchased there and refused to allow me to exchange the items. I would actually rate this store -negative 0 stars. read more

I called into this party city and they had almost everything I called for which is refreshing .I wanted Happy B-Day in cursive but they didn't have it so he automatically substituted it for the regular print which was fine. I had a long name as you can see but he didn't mess up a letter. The customer service was excellent and they even held the items for me . I definitely recommend this store . Please find another location to go to besides this one the manager is completely rude. I picked up balloons I order for my daughters birthday and for some reason they were all tied in a knot that required me cutting the strings to untangle then which then left me to restring all the balloons to be able to use them to decorate for her party. After informing the manager that The strings had all been tied together he then told me that I must've tied them in a knot myself or that the wind must've tied them in a knot where you can clearly see that that had to of been done by hand the wind would not have been able to do that. He then went on to say there's nothing that he could do for me and he wasn't going to try and do anything for me to rectify the situation and ruining my daughters birthday party. Advise anybody to please run to another place to get party supplies because the manager at this location is completely rude and doesn't care that his staff messes up your order and basically blames it on you. read more

I went in to buy some decorations for my son's 10th bday and brought in some Among Us balloons to be inflated. The chick at the register, I unfortunately didn't catch her name, was such a sweetheart! We talked about Among us (which I know little about) and she showed me a cake she had made for an Among Us party but the best part was she asked me when my sons party was before sending the balloons over to be filled. I had latex balloons and the party was the next day, she informed me that the balloons would only last 8-10 hours which means they would be sinking for my kids party. I came back the next day and got them filled, they looked great for his party and low and behold about 10 hours later they were sinking. Chick was on point with her helium estimate time. This was the worst service I have ever received. I purchased a balloon for my daughters birthday and it took over 30 minutes to have it filled with air. Jorge the boy trying to fill the ballon had to have the manager, Jose, to come get the ballon off the ceiling. Then the manager Jose had an attitude as he handed me the balloon. My husband and I went here last week after the doctors appointment when we found out the gender of our baby. We actually did not decide to find out, so we took the envelope and went right to party city where Tristan was very friendly and was happy to help. We picked out a pinata and he helped us pick out pink and blue items to put inside the pinata, we went with the colored chalk, some paper fluff and glitter. He had our envelope, took our items and secretly charged us for either the pink or blue. He kept it a complete secret and thought of everything. He covered the credit card machine so we couldn't see what was charged for, wouldn't give us the recipt. He kept it a total secret. We left the items at party city for a week and had a friend pick everything up yesterday. We found out were having a little girl! Thank you Tristan! You went above and beyond and was extremely hospitable. It's hard to find people like this in stores like this these days! He made it very special for us and our family! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went into store, 2 people at the front, no greeting at all. I went to the counter to ask about balloon, arches, columns and pre-set price list examples for balloons aired with helium. Staff Charles with store 175/Humble stated they only have examples that they make, they place on table for the weekends only. When I asked for the price list for ex for 12 balloons etc he stated they had no such list. As I walk down to the balloon section, THERE THE LIST IS! I asked for his assistance to show him what I was asking about and to ask about some of the other balloons to create for a party and he told me to come down there where he was to the other counter if I had a question. I asked him was he not allowed to come down to the balloon counter to assist a customer and he stated he had to remain at the front counter where there was an associate already standing behind the counter. When I asked him about the list he stated he "thought" I meant the already made ones that they put out on the table and if I see the list there "then there it is." His tone was rude, very short, not friendly at all and very nonchalant. When I asked for his store number he looked surprised. Poor customer service! I will not be back at this store. I drove to ATASCOCITA where the CUSTOMER SVC was AWESOME. Each one of employees working there was SUPERB, especially Johnathan! read more
