I tried to be a cheapo and skip out on the bag for the balloons but as soon as I walked outside all 32 inflated b's started losing their mind so I went back in the store, bought the bags but now the strings were a hot mess. They were so entangled I felt so bad. But balloon master, Ariana, was so patient and sweet, untangled them one by one and placed them in the bags for me. This is definitely the better Party City in El Paso. Sad for me because I live on the westside and this is on the east side but that's ok! lol So on this day I needed a Trunk or Treat kit because my niece was having an event at her school. This being so last minute, I was freaking out on how to decorate my car and then I found out PC has kits! WHAT A LIFE SAVER! It came with so many items that made my car look so cute! Everything was well organized in the store, making the kit easy to find when I walked in. I only had one problem that led to a big problem at the other Party City and that was that I didn't receive my receipt because the receipt was printed out and it was misprinted. I paid $20 in cash and $12 on a card and when I paid on the card, it printed out saying that I was owed changed. They said I couldn't take the receipt due to the error and thought nothing of it until I tried to get the balloons from the kit blown up at the other PC 2 days later. This party supply store is tremendously stocked with all kinds of goodies, from balloons to candy to decorations, plates, utensils, invitations, and numerous tchotchkes all in a wide variety of themes. It truly is a one stop party shop. I don't throw a lot of parties, so I've only been here a couple of times, and while I will attest that I have always found what I was looking for, the prices here make it a place of last resort for me. Not to say everything is super expensive, that isn't the case, but some items (in my experience wristbands) are just way over-priced. I was unable to find wristbands for an event at other stores and found them here for about $27, and I understand supply and demand and I would've been willing to pay extra, but not when I was able to get them from Amazon at $8 and I've got Prime. Conversely, we got burnt orange decorations at a very reasonable price even though we couldn't find the color elsewhere. So good store for party supplies, just be vigilant of the prices. read more

I didn't see anyone around to ask for help. When I did see someone, they would just look at us, not ask if we needed help or if we were finding everything okay. When we were checking out, I was asked if we found everything okay and I responded with no... the conversation went no further. I wasn't asked if they could help, or what I was looking for, nothing. This Party City is terrible. My main complaint is their phone lines. I had to make a change on my balloon order pickup date and time but my 15+ calls were NEVER picked up. You can't even leave a voice message! I called their other location and it was the same stupid automated answering system giving store hours, location, and then hanging up on you. I ended up having to drive back to the store through busy 5 hr traffic due to their outdated phone lines. I asked the zero personality boy there to please change the date & time of inflation & pickup and he pulled out a pen and wrote it on my receipt and on the store order. I felt it was so informal and had a bad feeling about it. I asked if that would be sufficient and he said "Yup." Sure enough, my balloons were inflated and ready for pickup on the previously (WRONG) scheduled day and time. By the time I needed them, they were NOT floating up high...at their best. If customer service, attention to details, and following INSTRUCTIONS on orders were decent, I wouldn't mind paying their ridiculous prices. These young kids they have working seem to be there because of who they know. They don't know how to offer options or suggestions. It's horrible! I truly doubt anyone at corporate gives a hoot about these reviews, but I guess we'll see. P.S. Just so you all know, I'm no "Karen." In fact, I'm normally too passive, but this experience was disheartening for me. It's not right that we pay high expectation prices for inadequate service. read more

I was at my local store 1142 and had a interaction with Stephanie Brown who claims to be the general manager. At the time she was handling the balloons. We have never purchased a balloon from party city before and did not know the procedures but saw her filling balloon orders next to a sign for balloons so we waited where we thought we should be to get the ballon we wanted. When it was our turn, we approached her and asked for the balloon we were purchasing. She looked at us made a rude noise like we were bothering her and stated in a rude tone, pointing to the check out line "You do realize that there is a line right?" And then walked away. We were in a state of shock but she arrived with our uninflated balloon without another word. We then proceeded to the check out line. Out of desperation we bought the ballon. At the register, the cashier was very kind and helpful but advised us that she was in fact the manager. I was absolutely appalled with how she actually spoke to us, especially since she is the manager and her interaction was completely rude in comparison to the cashier. After leaving the store I called the number on our reciept to talk to a manager and got Stephanie. She showed a complete lack of empathy or concern that she had ruined our experience and proceeded to support her treatment of us, stating that people try to cut the line and offered no apology. I asked for her manager at this time to which she stated we could call number on receipt and she had no manager. I have been a customer service manager for 15 years and am completely disappointed by the experience we received and discouraged for myself and my friends and family to continue shopping at party city if this is the way that party city management operates read more

This store, and all of the employees there are a complete joke! If there was an option for negative stars that would be my pick. We asked the cashier if a particular item worked in a black light, and she said yes. I asked if it didn't if we could bring it back to exchange it (not get a refund, but to exchange) and she said no. Which was fine. So I asked a second time that she 100% sure it would work, before wasting money. At that time she became snotty and rude and began laughing, and saying yes I used the same stuff myself and it worked. WELL GUESS WHAT, we get home and the shit doesn't work. So I call the store to speak to a manager. TWO TIMES an employee picked up the phone answered, and as soon as I started talking hung up on me. Then they took the phone off of the hook. If a employee doesn't know the answer, JUST DON'T ANSWER! Ask someone who knows. It is sad, because I shop at party city a lot, but they will NEVER see another penny from me! read more

They have a pretty wide range of colors to choose from overall. Although, they have a turquoise section for plates, utensils, and table cloths... they did not have matching balloons.
