Before i bought my costume i asked the employee…read moreat the register what is their return policy and in return he said "you can return any item until 7:30 today" and so i said "okay cool"-then preceding to buy my costume. I then go home and realize that it's the wrong costume, so i drive back (mind you, within the same hour) and ask if i can get a refund because a worker earlier had told me i could. What i got back was a woman yelling in my face and rolling her eyes at me saying "no you can't" and "why are coustmers so dumb" and all sorts of snarky little comments. I then ask if i can speak to her manager in which her response was "no" and when asked why, all she says is "i don't know where she is". I then decide to let her calm down and walk around a bit and come back when there is another level headed employee. I came back about 5-10 minutes later to find the same employee who earlier told me i can return as long as it's before 7:30. I then tell him that i would like to return an item. He then says "uhhhh, no i can't do that" in which my response was "you told me less than 2 hours ago that i could." And he says back, "i don't remember seeing you here". At this moment i ask him where the manager is, and his response is "My manager isn't here", so i ask him "when is your manager in?" And he replies "I'm not going to tell you, leave before i call security". And once again the same girl from earlier sees me and says "ugh, what is he doing here still". Upon hearing this, i was offended. How dare you, an employee who promises a customer that they can return an item, threaten to call security on a paying customer? Furthermore, you wouldn't even let me see your manager and talk this out. At this point there is no reason for me to want the return, but the fact that the employees here treated me like this is OUTRAGEOUS. I'll probably be back tomorrow once again to talk this out, but at this point there is no point in coming back. 100% DO NOT GO HERE, unless you want to be treated like a piece of meat walking around paying money.

They have EVERYTHING, and the staff is friendly & knowledgeable. I found out about Norcostco last year, when we had a pre-performance makeup emergency: The online retailer I'd ordered from took its sweet time to process the order and then chose "molasses in January" shipping, so I was in a blind panic the night before the show. After 2648395 rounds of internet searches & follow-up phone calls looking for one highly specific Ben Nye product, I found Norcostco -- and they're RIGHT HERE! An independent, local business that has All The Things! (I mean, they're not exactly "right here" for us -- I have to drive across the whole #%&! metro to get there -- but it's *so* worth the trip. You can see the products, use the testers, play around, and walk out with what you need. Fantastic!)

I had been wanting to test out the Ben Nye make up line and was happy to learn a few months back…read morethat they carried it. They actually tons of theatrical makeup and costumes. Finding the place can be challenging since it's on a residential block (unexpected) and the store front doesn't face the street. However I did a bit of research on google maps beforehand and checked out the street view, which helped. Upon entering the woman at the register didn't bother to look up, say hello, smile or acknowledge that someone had walked in. Therefore I figured it was the kind of place where you fend for yourself and headed straight to the makeup section. BIG MISTAKE! About 5 minutes later another women appeared out of nowhere and in a frustrated tone wanted to know what we needed and more importantly if we opened any of the items. She then told us we should have rang "the bell" for help. Keep in mind there wasn't a bell in the area or a sign instructing to do so. Anyway after smoothing things over she showed us where the test makeup and brushes were located (several feet from the display.) It was a rather small section with a polly-pocket sized mirror and bad lighting. The employee helped us with the items and answered questions we had in a more polite/cordial tone. However, due to the lighting and mirror issue my friend and I were constantly having to go back to the costume section where there was a full length mirror and better lighting. Ultimately, we left with a few items (would have been more if we could tell how the colors actually looked against our skin). My tips for you are: 1) Use your GPS or checkout a street view of the place if it's your first time visiting and you're unfamiliar with the area. 2) RING THE BELL (located at the front register). 3) Bring your own mirror and lights. Just kidding! But seriously don't rely on the ones in the testing section, just check yourself out in the mirror by the costumes. 4) If you can, do research beforehand to determine which products you're interested in b/c they're are several options. Otherwise, just be sure to allow ample time so you can test out the items and find your match. 5) Skip the pricey department store makeup and try the items here (I can only vouch for Ben Nye) which cost far less, are of good quality and made to withstand heat/lights/etc.

I was professional about it and told the gal that I've been in customer service long enough to know when staff is being rude. I know Halloween is near and they won't be there very long but wanted to share what kind of business they are. I tried the costume on, it all fit, I shoved it all back in the basket, returned it to her and said "it fits, but I wouldn't support a business that treats a customer like this." She said nothing! Although they have a coupon, I would highly recommend going next door to Party City or around the corner to Halloween Express. YES the other two stores will accept a spirit Halloween coupon as well!

I had no idea what to expect, as it wasn't even listed on Yelp yet, but it has been open since February of 2022. OMG IT'S HUGE. They do costume rentals. The staff is really nice and helpful. I get the feeling this is a labor of love, as the woman who owns it is a theatrical costume designer. She said they bought out the stock from Theatrical Costume Company downtown (which I believe had bought out the stock from the old Teener's Theatricals, if anyone remembers that place) when they went out of business during the pandemic. If you are looking for a costume, check here first. They have an amazing selection and very knowledgeable staff. I will definitely be back often.

They're open until nine and wouldn't fill balloons for the rest of the night. Wouldn't let me use the open helium tanks either. Just slow and lazy. Teenagers have it rough filling 1 balloon a minute. Really it's terrible management. You lost at least $100 in the line I was in alone. Other people left too. I can imagine cutting off balloons four hours before close on a weekend?!?

I have shopped at this Party City a number of times (birthday parties, graduation party, engagement…read moreparty, wedding) and have always had an excellent experience. I've found items that I wanted, bought and picked up balloons with no problem, encountered helpful and friendly employees, and checked out with no issues. I am heading there again today for baby shower items!
