My old go-to store (Little Party Shop) is just too far out of my way now and has an atrocious parking situation. I also recently had a bad experience with a big box party store (Party City). I looked through the Yellow Pages and online but my neighbourhood has a distinct lack of balloon stores (i.e. St Clair West near Keele). I had a simple order (12 helium balloons in a variety of colours) that I wanted to pick up on a certain day & time and Balloonagram came through for me. I called them and placed the order over the phone (they seem to have some online ordering for delivery but it seemed kind of weird to me/run by a third party and it's in US funds?). A good old-fashioned phone call order did the trick for me. It's funny how dependent I've become on on-line ordering for basic things! Overall, I would recommend Balloonagram to you. They had my order correctly/perfectly made and ready for pick up when I arrived. Just don't be swayed by their non-glamorous storefront - it's functional and kind of like don't judge a book by its cover.

They have 9 of our photos on their website, and many of the rest are stolen from other companies. They are in Canada, these photos are in Los Angeles--in front of my store. They claim to have been in business for 20 years. They should know how to do balloons by now. The only reviews that AREN'T 1 star are written by the owner.

The man who answered the phone was very friendly and answered all my questions regarding balloon height, table weights etc. My order could be ready within the hour and they were flexible on when I could pick it up. They close around 8pm so I was able to run some errands and pick up right before the party. I was very impressed with their service and their shop is super convenient on Queen Street. For two balloons "30", I paid $44 that included weights. Kinda pricy but worth it since its downtown.

My first order was over the phone and I called around 12pm on New Year's Eve for 2 last minute balloon trees. They said yes and charged a pricey delivery fee which is understandable. They ended up being 1.5 hours late, but again, I didn't complain because I know the order was last minute. After the event, I called asking for a receipt because they never emailed it to me as promised. I called, emailed, called some more and finally 3 weeks later I get a receipt. During one of those emails, I placed a simple helium tank order for delivery and followed up multiple times and each time I was told all is well and in place. Finally I get a PayPal invoice and it was a bit higher than expected. I asked if I could return the tank the next day to save half the delivery and the owner said yes. My order was scheduled at 12:30 that day, so I called at 1:40 asking where the tank is. She said that she thought I didn't want the order anymore and the earliest she can get me my balloons is at 4pm!!! My event started at 5:30pm. I hung up and vowed never to do business with these people again. I also heard through the grape vein that this isn't the first time this company has done this. If you want good service and balloons delivered on time, look elsewhere.

As it turns out, Sweet Thrills also sells tons of board games, puzzles, and collectibles. Once I set foot inside the store, I discovered an entire section devoted to strategy and party board games, offering a wide selection of well-known and lesser-known games (everything from Settlers of Catan to Pandemic to Dixit). My inner nerd was ecstatic at discovering such a store, right in my own backyard too! Since I've moved away from Roncesvalles, I still make an effort to visit Sweet Thrills every once in a while and buy a new game. The owner of the store (Michael) is so friendly and helpful at explaining new games that I will go out of my way to purchase board games from him over other more convenient locations in the city that sell them. He is an avid board gamer and is passionate about great games, and will gladly take the time to explain a game if you are curious or interested in learning more. Sweet Thrills will also order a game for you if they do not have it in stock, so if they don't currently have a game on the shelves that you are looking for, don't be afraid to ask them to order a copy! In addition, Sweet Thrills does of course sell tons of candy, including rare European candy and Walkers Monster Munch chips from England that are hard to find in Canada. Great store!

Even with the price showing on the shelf, they did not want to honour the price on display. When communicating nicely that the item was the same price at another location, she gave no care for it, she had horrible body language and a "whatever" energy.
