The environment they've created is calm, nurturing, and thoughtfully designed to support each child's independence and curiosity. It has been such a joy to watch our daughter grow in confidence, develop a love for learning, and feel so safe and at home in her classroom. The Montessori approach is beautifully honored, children are respected, guided, and encouraged in a way that feels both empowering and deeply supportive. We especially want to give a heartfelt shoutout to all of the amazing staff, and to Ms. Rola, Ms. Nina, and most especially her teacher, Ms. Avery. They are truly incredible, genuine people with such a clear passion for children and learning. The care, patience, and intention they bring every single day does not go unnoticed. It means the world to us as parents to know our daughter is surrounded by such kind, attentive, and inspiring educators. We are beyond grateful to be part of the Mountain View Montessori community. I've never been happier with a decision. The teachers and staff are warm, kind, and so incredibly loving. Dropping my son off feels like leaving him with family. The best part? No more tears at drop-off--he actually looks forward to going to school. Seeing him happy, thriving, and excited to learn has been the biggest blessing. I have been unsure of wether to leave a review with my experience here, but after a while I believe…read moreit's the right thing to do to ensure other kids don't have to go through what my daughter went through and the most recent review from a former staff member just solidified my concerns. I had a very upsetting experience at this daycare and feel it's important to share so other parents can make an informed decision. My 1.5-year-old daughter attended this program for a short time, she was continuously getting hurt and no one seemed to know what happened , with the exception of 3 times when it finally got addressed right after and incident occurred and that week she was kicked in the face by by a kid on a swing, TWICE, two back to back days while outside on the playground. Both times, we had to visit the doctor to make sure she was okay. When I brought my concerns to the owner, instead of showing care or accountability, she blamed me and even my baby, saying it was my daughter's fault for not knowing how to walk properly and that she was a " late walker and that "she would learn." I was shocked -- she's only a year and a half old and still learning to walk steadily. Let alone on the hilly playground area they have . Any parent knows even 3- to 5-year-olds need close supervision around swings, let alone a toddler. The director also chalked up to injury description as a " raspberry" when in fact it was a big skid that covered almost one side of her little face. Both times! I was made to feel completely gaslit and blamed when all I wanted was to make sure my child was safe. Several of my close friends -- including ones who've owned or worked in childcare -- read the text exchanges and reassured me that the way this was handled was not normal or acceptable. Beyond that, I often arrived to pick up my daughter and found her unsupervised or in unsafe situations -- once she was literally eating sand, with sand inside her water cup, and no staff had even noticed me walk in. I also noticed repeated issues with hygiene: dirty diapers not being changed promptly, and even other children's wipes being used on Nora's face after I specifically brought sensitive wipes for her as had sensitive skin and allergies, and she came home every day with rashes all over her face. It was a heartbreaking and stressful experience, but I withdrew her immediately and enrolled her in a new daycare. Her new program has 10-20 years of experience and excellent reviews, and they confirmed that incidents like these should have been properly documented and reported -- and that what happened to us would never be considered acceptable. They also told me I was the 3rd parent/family that week who had transferred from this same daycare for similar or other concerning reasons. To make matters worse, I later heard that coyotes had been spotted just outside the school's fence from another parent, yet no communication or warning was sent to parents about it. I'm a gentle and trusting person, and I truly wanted this to work, but the lack of accountability, safety, and professionalism here left me deeply disappointed and worried for other families. I hope my experience helps protect other children from going through what my daughter did. Screenshots of my conversations with the director and the injuries she sustained there within her two months attending She also tried to say I wasn't a good fit because I was having " issues with CCRC" when the truth was my counselor at CCRC told me to use that excuse to leave because I hate confrontation and wanted to leave peacefully, that was before my daughter got knocked out twice by the swing.

From our first visit to campus she made us feel welcome and comfortable. I was so impressed that she knew every student and parent walking around as we visited. To this day, she still knows everyone who passes through the gates of WHPS Collins. She is always available for questions, to discuss any concerns, is an incredible support for the teachers and is actively engaged with the school's programs and students' development. We first had Ms. Monica and Ms. Zulay and now have Ms. Kathy and Ms. Candy as teachers. They are INCREDIBLE. The teachers tailor their teaching styles and content to the students in their class and their interests. My daughter is an observer and the teachers have helped push her a bit outside of her comfort zone and she has grown so much over the past two years. There are a ton of extracurricular activities that families can opt into. We've done dance, Spanish, tiny stem, soccer, and tennis. We've also done the summer camp at WHPS. It is a bit of an extension of the school year but with lots of fun water experiences. There is a pool with a lifeguard and available swim lessons. The Parent Association Group (PAG) is highly involved. So many fun experiences like a Halloween parade and Snow Day as well as cultural celebrations like Lunar New Year and Holi. Also, the school is incredibly safe. Double entrance doors which is right in front of the director's office. Codes and sign-ins required by all. Great relationships with LAFD and LAPD who respond quickly if there were to be any concerns. Also, they do a number of drills that are age appropriate for the students. I know it can be scary to discuss drills at such a young age, but it is necessary. With so many preschool opportunities in the west Valley, we were in a bit of a decision paralysis until we got to WHPS Collins. It was an easy choice and we are so glad our daughter has had such a great experience.

The classrooms are so vibrant, the outdoor playgrounds are well stocked and in great condition. Families are welcomed at special events, making it feel like a true community. She absolutely thrived here, and if we hadn't moved, we'd still be part of this wonderful school. We couldn't quite put into words what made that school so special, but we knew we loved it, so we decided to stick with the Montessori approach. Unfortunately, after six months at a local Montessori school (the best of the six we interviewed), we had to withdraw our daughter because she repeatedly begged us to leave. I remembered seeing a school on Yelp that looked magical. It wasn't Montessori, but it seemed promising. I reached out to them, explained our situation, and they graciously invited us for a tour. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the clean, inviting space. What truly sold me, though, was Lauren's passion for the children. As she walked us through a typical day at the school, her genuine care and dedication brought tears to my eyes. Enrolling our daughter at Wildflower Atelier was the best decision we could have made. Shortly after starting, our daughter began to thrive again. Lauren and Shauna do an incredible job of gently facilitating group play, ensuring that every child feels included, loved, and seen. With this foundation of comfort and belonging, our daughter blossomed in imaginative play, arts and crafts, and more. Now, she's in first grade and excelling. When our son turned two, it was an easy decision to enroll him as well. He has been thriving just like his sister. Looking back, we realized that what we were searching for in a school was a genuine love and interest in our children's well-being and success. We found that--and so much more--at Wildflower.
