I live about 40 minutes away and the local Regal theatre is literally 2 1/2 times the price for a dirty screen and sticky floored auditorium with broken chairs. We were there for a Sunday morning 11:30 am showing of the new Spider-Man movie. We walked in and…read morethe general manager was standing at the counter. My grandson was bouncing around in a Spider-Man shirt making Spider-Man sounds and motions. I said I bet you know what we're here to see. He said, "I don't know. My mind is too scrambled right now." My wife said there for Spider-Man. I said I'd like a diet Dr Pepper and a large popcorn. He rolled his eyes and said said we don't have diet Dr pepper. We have Coke Zero and Diet coke. I said coke zero. My wife asked for two waters. He motion to the cooler and said they're over there. He really made no effort to be pleasant or friendly at all. I don't know if he was hung over or just generally unhappy to be there, but it was obvious wasn't enjoying his day. The theatre was good and we enjoyed our movie but it wasn't a pleasant interaction with the general manager. We hadn't been to this theatre for a long time, but probably won't be coming back any time soon. The theatre in our town has recently closed so we'll have to travel if we want to see any movies in theaters, but we'll just make the drive to Joplin or Neosho instead.

Parking: Ample parking and the lot is well cared for. Concessions: Better than average! Popcorn is fantastic and they even have all different kinds of popcorn salt/flavors that you can add for free! Prices are better than average movie prices. Lobby: The entire theatre has been recently renovated. I love their decor that focuses on some cult classics/ vintage movies. Employees: Everyone who works here is friendly and helpful! Never had a bad experience. Theatres: The seating is incredibly comfortable. Leather high back chairs that move! Plenty of leg room! Drink holders! Divine surround sound. Perfect clean screens that perfectly display the movie you are watching. So thankful that this little town of less than 9k, has such a fantastic place to catch the latest flicks!

I've been coming here for a long time, and it's always been a pretty good movie experience. It's…read morenot really ever crowded, it's fairly clean, and the popcorn is good. My only complaint would be that there are never enough workers at the concession counter, so if there is any crowd whatsoever you have to stand in one of two or three lines, when the counter has probably 6 registers and could easily spread out the crowd. This is the only theater left in Joplin, so that being considered, it's pretty good!
