Everyone was so caring and the added touches -- putting her name on the tree out front and the angel ornament were very special. It's clear that they love animals. There seems to be a growing trend of exploiting people's love for their pets--veterinary hospital prices are going through the roof, expensive and maybe unnecessary tests and procedures are pushed to maximize profits. It's an area where private equity firms are having a field day. I imagine a lot of people who visit Charm City Pet Crematory have already have spent thousands trying to save their pet. After all that, it's such a relief to deal with Charm City Pet Crematory. They just come across as really decent people providing a solid service at a difficult time.

They could work on responding a little bit faster to emails, but when they do, they are very helpful and provided us with the information we needed. These are good people, and you can trust them.

I asked her advice on cremation services because it is February and the ground is frozen. She highly recommended Royal Pet. I called them to explain my situation and I spoke with both Earl and Kathy (the owners). They were extremely professional, patient, and kind answering all of my questions because I was clueless on the process. We made the arrangements and I traveled with my dog to Wilmington. I wanted a private cremation. Earl met us there and took care of everything. I was impressed with how clean and professional the building was. I felt like I was in a scaled down, simpler funeral home for pets. Earl was very helpful and understanding of my "state". I wasn't quite with it. I felt very comfortable hearing how they came to be in this business, going through the ugly, dark process themselves when they lost a beloved animal. They saw a need for a respectful and ethical option. That is truly what they have created with this business. You can just immediately feel that they are going to treat you and your animal's "remains" respectfully. I cannot believe there are no other reviews for this place on here already. If you have the misfortune of needing this type of service, I cannot recommend them highly enough. They made such a dark day in my life a bit easier to deal with.

They promised same day service and I paid for it but early afternoon when I called for pick up-they said they were closed and wouldn't be available. When they finally made time to show up, the man Earl was rude. He became defensive and argumentative. He said he was working at his auto shop down the street and acted as if my pets cremation was an inconvenience for him. I didn't feel comfortable around him. I was devastated and upset but that doesn't give them the right to take advantage of the situation. I noticed that this man and woman actually had an old car and "racing fuel" sitting literally right beside the cremation machine. This can't be safe and I wish I would of never met these individuals. I was trying to cope and deal with a heartbreaking situation- they gave my family and I unnecessary stress and frustration. I miss my buddy every day and every day I can't wait for them to get the Karma they deserve. The county stated they didn't have a valid licence and the facility was not up to code.

They did a great job of being nearby, but not intrusive. We were given tags for the rear view mirror since we were also visiting the cemetery. Those driving behind the hearse were instructed to put on blinkers. We were directed to park separately, as soon as we arrived at the funeral home. It made the funeral procession organized and efficient when it was time to leave. My friend worked with the funeral home on a nice photo collage that kept playing during visitation and the funeral. There were approximately 175 pictures and the name of the person being celebrated. Having tissues and breath mints was a nice touch. I hope no one needs to use this business but if you do, you will be taken care of.

0 STAR -- EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED…read more I am beyond disgusted and disappointed with how this veterinary office has treated my family and my dogs. Last November, one of my dogs needed major emergency surgery, and the bill was over $8,500 if I remember correctly. At that time, there was absolutely no hesitation about taking her in immediately because it was considered an emergency. Fast-forward to today: my dog has fractured her leg, and when I called for help, I was told they couldn't get her in today and that I should call back tomorrow to see if they have an availability. Excuse me?! A dog with a fractured leg is supposed to wait and see if you have an opening tomorrow? I find it incredibly hard to understand how my dog's $8,500 emergency was treated as an immediate priority, but now that my dog has a serious injury, suddenly there's no room to help her. This place has changed SO much. Savannah used to be a good veterinary office, but the experience and the way people are treated now is completely different. The staff I've dealt with have been rude, and today was the final straw for me. I have three dogs, and I will NEVER bring any of them back here again. I am actively looking for a new veterinarian as we speak. When someone has trusted you with the care of their animals -- and has spent thousands of dollars with your practice -- you would expect compassion and urgency when their dog is injured. Today, I got neither. I am completely done with this place.
